    Rooney is doing a fantastic job with Derby, I still believe he will save them from the drop. He knows all that's needed to know about English football and playing at the top level, winning trophies. I don't know what his budget has been at Derby, but he's equal to any side looking for promotion to the Prem next season.

    You have to admire his loyalty as well, most young managers would have walked after what has happened behind the scenes

    If he keeps Derby up he will be in great demand next season

    Everton seem to sign managers with big reputations but who are past their best.

    I'll go with Roy Hodgson.

    It does make you wonder if he'd leave this season were another club to make an approach ?

    As you say if he stays at Derby and keeps them up his reputation would be massively enhanced and let's face it he certainly could do with a boost to his standing and character as a person given some of the bad press he's received over the years.

    Fair play to him though, he's working miracles at Derby so far.
