The EFL structure is probably such that they have a committee which looks into takeovers and it probably only meets on set dates.Why should they be on call for attend to individual cases as they arise.

My source told me that a final deal was agreed on New Year’s Eve between the two parties. The papers then went to the EFL for consideration. Normally around 15 days for them to rubber stamp the deal. The Chairman of the EFL is Rick Parry. Chief Exec Trevor Birch. 2 Independent non executive directors. Representatives from 3 Championship clubs. Notts Forest, PNE, and Middlesbrough. 2 from Division 1 Burton Albion and Fleetwood.1 from Division 2 Carlisle. We’ve had two bank holidays since the papers went in so it could! be next week.
Will the three championship reps be keen to give it the go ahead! Not sure. Seems all sources have gone very quite. Just hope our current owners have not moved the goalposts. Statements from sellers and buyer would be a step forward no doubt the NDA will be given as an excuse!

So the new striker will be a loan deal, a young u23's striker, hopefully will be a promising player as good as Longman. I have a feeling this deal won't get completed until after the transfer window shuts.

Well confirms that we have two teams working on transfer targets. And given the time frame till the end of the window looks like we are going with Ehab's targets not Acun's. Also gives one a sinking feeling that there is more holding the deal up than just the EFL approval. "Still needs work to close the sale". Please put out a statement Ehab to clarify, what work is actually needed.

It's not ideal we're having to wait but ffs chill out, good things come to those that wait. This would take a huge U turn given the soundbites coming out of Ilacis camp for this to fall through.
