Great to see Bairstow get his century, still a lot to do, with not many wickets left, but at least he has saved total humiliation.

Well done Johnny. His first for a while, so must be a relief. He has been getting starts, then getting out. Now selectors need to show faith in him, regular slot at No 6 and give him the gloves back. They've totally messed him around over the last few years.

Aus. declare at 265 for 6 leaving England to score 388 to win or bat for a draw, with a day and a bit left.

Well, the first bit done, saw out the last few overs before the close, 30-0. Weather forecast not great tomorrow, so let's hope we can see out the day one way or another.

rather suprising stat - crawley was third wicket down, at 96/3, and he'd scored 77. that's 80.21% of the total.

Well, avoided the white wash, just. Got the draw by the skin of our teeth, but well done for grinding it out. 270-9 at the end, Leach, Broad, and Anderson seeing out the last few overs.

Good effort chaps.Burns in for Hameed, Lawrence for Buttler. Give Barstow the gloves back permanently now. Should never have taken them off him.

Robinson will no doubt come back in as they can’t make a decision re bowlers. The way they kept Wood going when Aussies were chasing a declaration, I wondered if that’s his last involvement. Would be yet another stupid decision.

Off to a good start in Hobart, England won the tosses and bowled, 31-3, with Warner out for 0, Khawaja 6 & Smith 0.

85-4 at dinner break with Labuschagne out for 44. A challenge for England is to be the first country not to be beaten by Aus in a day-night Test played in Aus.

To date they have won all 9 played.

Head and now Green putting the Aussies back on top. Was Bairstow injured or dropped? Team selection yet again questionable - playing a not-fully fit Stokes and Robinson in a dead rubber seems ridiculous.
