This is a quiz for the next few weeks. Feel free to have a stab at all or just some of it. Every 2 or 3 days I will put up a new question which will have 3 parts.

    Rules
There will be 3 parts to every question, a, b and c while 10 points will be awarded in total.
You can answer one part, two parts or three parts. (for example you can answer one part immediately, then answer other parts later).
The question needs to be answered before the next question comes up, nominally every 2 days.
No homework will be marked before the next question comes up.
The first person to get any part correct will get double points.
No editing is allowed, your first answer for any parts will be the only one accepted.
The competition will run as long as I can be arsed.
Any complaints that this favours old gits will be dealt with as ageist and therefore hate crime: OddDog will be unleashed.

Bloody Hell, and I thought that this first question was relatively easy. The race is being run at Chepstow.

    Not that many appear interested.

Solution and next photo, please, Bustino.
That photo of Chepstow would have fooled anybody, taken from inside the inner circle- dastardly Muttley!

    Question 1

Well what a miserable response. Dexter got everything right so scores 10 points plus a bonus of 10 points. He spotted that although L to R it was Francome, O' Neill, Scudamore that in fact Scudamore was ahead of O' Neill. Tamerlo scores 2 points.

Timeform described the finish of this race as a classic. Francome's mount Our Bara Boy demolished the last and was overtaken by his two rivals yet got up to win by a neck and the same from Rogairio (O'Neill) and Great Developer (Scudamore). The race was on Easter Monday 1982 (so Tamerlo got the right year) and Timeform featured it when discussing the brilliance of these 3 jockeys.

Think that is the 68 Derby (I am sad and been watching a few Pathe videos of previous Derbys) , if so -

Sandy Barclay for Jim Joel - Guessing Orange Cap
    Mount Athos

(I had to find a results book!)

Jockey on second was Sandy Barclay; Owner Jim Joel and sporting the famous livery of black jacket and red cap.

No idea what was third...hadn't been born yet!

    1. Sandy Barclay rode the second horse.
    2. Jim Joel with his red cap owned Connaught to be second.
3.Mount Athos passed Remand to be third.

PS. Bustino, Your first photo is dubious- are those the positions they finished or shown in the still? Almost impossible to tell on your image which lies second.
