Fair enough. Your boys are far from the worst (and admittedly we have our share, for the brief spells where we retain the ball enough to get fouled).
It’s so frustrating how flimsy and flat-footed we are on the ball, there is nowhere near enough movement, which means every player is closed down immediately. And simple clearances with the head consistently fall to an opposition player who is actually moving to anticipate play. It’s way too predictable from us, which makes it incredibly easy to defend. West Ham have looked decent enough at times and Bowen has been exceptional, could have had a hat trick, but they haven’t really needed to get out of low gear.
Kieran Dowell is not the answer for this game. He’s looked so poor every time he’s played this season
Dear oh dear a woefully underhit cross field ball basically gifts then a counterattack from a decent position for us. We get lucky with them trundling.
So we need a goal to equalise and we bring on a 19 year old and an 18 year old, taking off our liveliest player? Very weird unless it pays off…
Idah looked like he was limping shortly before he was subbed off and he hasn’t played many 90mins. He’s played well tonight and we will need him for the weekend, if he can get a goal I think he could really kick on
