Romero had a proper training session but isn't fit to play. The players that missed Sunday's match are still out apparently, so still no Dier who I thought may have been ok to play.

Hard to see us turning the tie around, I'd say Chelsea are almost certainly going to score tomorrow night and so I can't see us bagging three or four against a side that's generally good defensively. They're in a position where they can manage the game nicely from their perspective.

Tomorrow's my cousin's birthday and one of my good mates is over from Malta for this and the NLD after he moved back there a couple years ago so should be a decent night either way, be a great one if Spurs done the unthinkable though.

Think we may go 352 with Winks joining Hojbjerg and Skipp in the middle.

    Lloris
    Sanchez, Rodon, Davies
    Emerson, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Winks, Reguilon
    Lucas, Kane

It's pretty much like "It's coming home" in the sense that it got rewritten to assume it was England fans being arrogant about winning when in actual fact it was a solemn chant about continuous failures. That said, those chanting it don't know the history behind it and it's definitely homophobic and needs stamping out IMO.

    Put out the youth team.
We are out of the cup- no way are we turning the tie around, so we might as well rest the first team.

We're winning by 2 goals and going out on penalties.

    Marriner and Dean are officiating?

We might as well forfeit the game and be done with it.

We could become the first team in history to be knocked out of two competitions by forfeit.

The pundits (who as we know pretty much say the same thing) will probably say that it's best to get an early goal. I am not sure that is right. Their players are better than ours, so we need something else in our favour. One factor might be complacency. If we score early we are more likely to be up against players trying their best, in which case they will more likely score more. However the longer the game goes on, the more likely they are to get complacent. I'm thinking that a goal in the 60th minute would be better for that, then the momentum is with us and we have a better chance. But what do I know. If we score early and win I'd be very glad to be wrong.

Totally get you but I always like the let’s absolutely ruin them in the first 10 minutes approach as I feel that if we go into it cautiously then the game will feel like a bit of an uphill turgid task…crowd won’t accept that after our last 2 levels of performance and that same quality you talk of in Chelsea’s team will just absorb our attacks all day like they did in the first game, having got their 2 goals. Could be wrong…a lot of instinct and minerals at play tonight as we have often seen in games V Chelsea but I know the glory nights only come when we are up and at the oppo doing or dying.

Ultimately there is only one way we are winning this

The crowd must be our 12th man

    Roof must come off

    imo

By forfeit or by ref default.
Which one costs the club least (fines, injuries etc) ??

    Don't be ridiculous

3-1 and out on away goals, just to remind us of the time we lost on penalties the one season away goals were removed...

    Were they not removed permanently?

Edit I have just looked it up and yes - its Extra time and penalties tonight if the scores are level.

I think this game is important to Conte. He will want to see a reaction after our last performance ( if it can be called that). Plus I want to see Spurs playing top teams which they need to do if we are to improve. I don't expect a turn around in this tie but I want to see Spurs try.

Narrator: The game wasn't important to Conte

Honestly I wished he was a tad ballsier and gave White and Paskotsi a start

Doherty at LWB again because that has worked so well in recent weeks.

Would it honestly be worse to play Davies there and 3 right footed CBs? Would it kill us to just play 4 at the back? Is this Conte's macabre way of saying 'I need another left footed CB?'

Expecting Lo Celso, Winks and Hojbjerg to be completely anonymous. Skipp is already better than all of them.

Sorry but this is terrible, surely sessegnon, Hugo, skipp and Gil to start. Could be an early leave at half time
