The way I read his post was that the chances of completing the deal on Wednesday were on a knife edge. Attack the poster not the post 'types' may have read it differently.
I don’t remember him mentioning Wed, just the deal is on a knife edge. I could be wrong. It’s over 24hours ago…..
He'd previously confirmed his ' guess' was also Wednesday when others started suggesting it. He then retracted it. Others haven't - still suggestions it will be this week ahead of Stoke. Ultimately though its down to the EFL.
Nah, it's not a knife edge is it, what we are on tonight is a 'cusp', we are on the cusp and that feels good, positive, get on the cusp not the knife edge.

We're very reactionary on here sometimes. Eaves has a better game and suddenly he's the answer to everything and it was actually just the formation that was making him foul people constantly. I think we saw him at his rare best on Saturday, but we still ultimately lacked a bit of quality in the box. With Magennis going, who was also distinctly imperfect (neither as bad as some complain he is or as good as some are making out now he's leaving) and Wilks injured too, we definitely need more strikers. At least two I'd say.
You not think he looks better in a front 2 as opposed the lynchpin in a 3? Could also be that he's playing for his future I suppose.
He maybe is a bit better in a 2. Most strikers probably are. But it doesn't have to be as black and white as people always want it to be with formations. Eaves has some very basic flaws in his game. Formation isn't going to change him being unable to press without fouling people and always being a yard or two late for everything. He's currently one of our best available strikers so of course he has my full support, but it's not the case that he's suddenly brilliant. We definitely need more.
Agree totally. If we want to progress we need better than potentially all of the central forwards though, not just Eaves.
I completely agree, we're very reactionary on here. It's bizarre but Tom's best 2 games for us have come in the FA Cup. I know we played well vs Everton but I do think that any decent championship side would've knocked them out. We've come up marginally short so many times this season and that's my biggest concern
