North East curve? How about the whole stadium. Maybe he could tell the SAG that West Upper is not high and steep and standing up or jumping up and down doesn't lead to carnage. Maybe 5ell stewards to stop wandering about all game and getting innthe line of vision and staying out of the way like at other clubs. Maybe introduce a seating area and eject anyone sitting down in other areas?
Unfortunately it would never be allowed here .. imagine Humberside plods reaction if we had a crowd acting like that....not to mention the field day hull daily fail would have
The way he was going on about needing the support to be like Saturday every game makes me think it’ll be something ticket related or something that will seriously attract people to come back. I can’t see anything too drastic straight away
If it was at a rugby game it would be described as wonderful, vibrant scenes... Humberside Plod make mountains out of molehills and the stewarding is ludicrous. There are 2 only sections stood up whereas elsewhere whole ends and often sides as well are stood up.
Don't even joke about it. Gollum has likened it to Rangers/ Celtic, Liverpool/Everton and the Mlan Derby for intensity and dividing a city in the past.
I don't know when you were last able to get to games but honestly, it really isn't like that these days. A lot of away grounds literally don't have a noisy section at all, just the occasional sporadic singers spread around the ground. Barnsley is one example, proper old ground but there simply isn't a section where people stand and make a noise. I think you've got a point about atmosphere in the modern English game, but it's not true at all that City are worse than everyone else.
Maybe he is planning to make football "as free as the air". I do have concerns that this is just another case of something getting lost in translation and its meant to be "something great" rather than "something unique". I'm keeping expectations low. I'd be happy with a simple engagement with fans and trying to attract people back.
I think it will be something ticket related since it was in the context of talking about filling the ground.
