He was. And he isn’t a bad defender when fit. That’s the problem. But yes it’s happening and I think his age means he is an upgrade on what we have.

Why. He’s had injury’s but he’s actually been a very good player and he’s an England international. If he can get fit and stay fit he’s a solid cb.

It will be Jones/Botman in defence exp cm (poss Cantwell and 1 other younger more exciting signing) Exp Striker (Wood) and 1 more younger more exciting signing (possibly Nunez type) with possibly more. At the time was told they still hadn't given up on Digne and other players in other positions. Clubs are needing time to find replacements without other clubs knowing how much they have taken off of us.
These are the signings we have been asking for have we not. Proven premiership players who can cut it straight from the off. The time for gambles is when we are safe. These players are good solid premiership players.
