The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 11th January)

I know it’s different muscles to an extent but it really bewilders me how rugby players come on with all kinds of strapping and play through the pain barrier, they get knocked unconscious and beg to continue. Then you get players like Firpo wanting to come off as he feels a bit dizzy. Remember our Italian keeper who couldn’t play as he had a scratch

 

How is training, no matter how intense, causing ankle, foot, hip and shoulder injuries? I could understand if they was all muscular but they're not.
The reason we can compete is that we're fitter than other teams, if you get rid of that we will lose.
Buy better players? That's said a lot. You know it's not as easy as that, even if you pay fortunes. For example, Rashford isn't interested at the moment so, no matter what the manager does he just doesn't give a fk. I'd take Tyler Roberts any day even though he's worth a fraction of what Rashford is.
There are so many now on here saying get rid of Radz, get rid of Bielsa and get rid of many of our players.
What do you want? Bates, Heckingbottom and Big Kev? We've been there before and it was ****.
You can't just wave a magic wand and it's all good. The management we've got have got us back to the PL so I trust the club.

I have never once said to get rid of Bielsa but you do wonder whether keeping a small squad of largely the same players, little team rotation and intensive training is starting to take a toll after three seasons?

 

Regarding the loan of Cody Drameh, I think we should tell Swansea they can have him then the day he’s meant to turn up for the first time loan him out to Cardiff

 

Equally I’ve never said get rid of him but if we stay up this season I won’t mind if we part ways, that’s assuming we have a pot to piss in, if we can only afford championship quality signings we’d better keep him another 12 months

 

I’d say be careful of what you wish for. Personally I hope he stays. I’m not even sure who would replace him.

I don’t mind if he stays another year either, I do think this season has been one huge step backwards in regards to signings and a few of last years signings not progressing like I’d hoped
