Ranieri has made a career of playing that way. He's just signed 3 outfield defensive players specifically to try to keep them up. They have signed these players in time for their crunch 3 matches. We are going for a higher quality of players looking longer term which is great. So far we have failed and by the time we succeed it could be too late.

Regarding Wood and his alleged release cause. If it is 10-17m then IMO if we are to get him unfortunately this would need to be a final day last minute deal. We can't give Burnley the chance to reinvest that money.
