He’s always had that ability. We’ve just never played in a formation that suits him. I’m really pleased for him. I hope it’s shut up a few of the derogatory comments about him.
1. Honeyman 2. McLoughlin 3. Eaves Everyone who wore the shirt on that pitch give it 100% and no less. Proud of the lads.
Honeyman Eaves McLoughlin A great team effort all round and a night to remember and be proud to be a City fan.
Just love watching Hudds ! His ability to receive a ball turn and play it to a player when you don’t think he’s looked is better than any player I’ve seen in recent times in the premier. In fact I can’t think of anyone bastard Bullard apart who plays or played in a similar way . I would still pay to watch him before numerous other ‘ great’ players
Hudds is a class above anything else we have & is a total joy to watch. For me I would start him every game
Well I think he wasted a few. But made a big difference when he came on. And agree should start every game when. fit.
I think with Hudd', its as much of the effect he has on people around him, he allows people to find space, want to find space... .. you know those KEEP CALM T shirts, I think one with KEEP CALM youre playing with Huddlestone would be in order...
Honeyman - A class above. Should be playing with a Top-6 side. Eaves - Where has this player been.? Outstanding performance. Greaves - Hard to pick from back 3. Great team performance.
I realise I'm at risk of becoming a bit obsessive with this Bernard thing, but how he can make a top 3 on that game is beyond me. Everton's quality exposed us at various times, but no one more than Bernard. They absolutely ran him ragged. And again I think Greaves is getting a hard time by comparison. His incomplete cross-field balls have been discussed to death, but Di'Shon was slicing it all over the place at times and no one's mentioned that.
I rate Bernard, it he wasn't in my top 3 on Sat. Thought he could have been closer for their second. Their other 2 goals were quality mind.
I thought for the first one he just froze and let Gray bring the ball down, turn and face him before he then played the 1-2 with Gordon and scored.
What was missing on Saturday was a booking or two.... I mean this in the professional way. Too much respect shown? If Gray had been put on is backside early on then who knows what might have happened. we're just too nice sometimes...
I thought their first was extremely well worked and the flick over his head and 1-2 would have done anybody. If I was going to be critical of any other it would be the third where Tom could perhaps have been closer but the feint and shot was world class.
