4 of our top prospects are close to returns from injury, namely Vuckic, Moyo, Airey and Lua Lua. These lads are regarded as some of our best young players and could be pushing for the first team soon. There wasnt much reason for this article, but our squad has looked depleted in recent weeks and in the last week or so they have all been mentioned as soon to be fit again.

Also we have several first teamers back soon, Ben Arfa, Saylor and Raylor, although Gosling has conceded that he may not be 100% until next season.

Do you see any of the young lads breaking into the first team picture in the forseeable future? I certainly hope Vuckic gets a chance this year, he seems to be considered a first team player now and is often described as ready for the premier league.

It'll help for the run in to have these players back and provides additional options.

New blood to come in and push past the 40 points mark.

Really wish we hadn't rushed gosling back, rate him very highly and I'm gutted it's unlikely we will see him for the rest of the season.

    Agree with OT!

After the 40 point mark, I hope we give youngsters like LuaLua, Vuckic, Ferguson, Airey, Ranger, etc... a GOOD run-out(even starting them if needed or give them a good 30 mins or so)...

    Can't wait for the summer!

Out of those, I'd say Lua Lua is closest to making the step up to first team football, followed closely by Vuckic

Lua Lua's a strange one because before his loan at Brighton a lot of people said he wouldnt make the grade and should be moved on (feels like he's been here for ages) but he really impressed there, his dynamic wing play and versatility to either side could be very useful for us. Not to mention the pace we lack now Routledge is gone and Ranger still doesnt get a start.

I can't see LuaLua being physically fit enough for the top flight. He's suffered two serious injuries at Brighton (remember he was loaned there last season too) and they weren't even playing him every game because they were concerned about his hamstrings.

For me Kadar is closest to breaking through. Admittedly he isn't going to displace Colo, Willo and Tayls any time soon, but if two of them had injuries I'd have no reservations at all about Kadar stepping up. He looks a class act and he could cover at LB as well. Hopefully Ranger (left out again tonight) and Ferguson will get regular sub appearances in the coming weeks.

Last I heard of LuaLua he was injured badly.
    Has he recovered?
