Now we're safely through I can say this: there are plenty of intriguing potential ties still in the hat and some good away days. Kidderminster, Cambridge, Hartlepool, Boreham Wood, Peterborough, Plymouth. We'll probably get Man City now.
This was an excellent team performance. Very disciplined given as we played with 10 after 30 mins. We did ourselves no favours with the chances we missed, but stuck at it and did not panic. Happy with the win and coming from behind to win even better.
He's generally a liability when he plays. He was great against Spurs but he should never have given Obafemi an opportunity to go down. Particularly after what Ralph said about Salisu. It was soft but it was a foul and he played right into Obafemi's hands by making contact.
One goal and one assist that keeps us in the FA Cup Important to score when it matters We would have lost without him
I wonder if someone had a word with the Referee at half time, he actually let play go on in the second half.
This is exactly where I am on this. Exactly like with Salisu if worst come to worst we should have let them through to try and get the goal We were on top with 11 players anyway. Also surely he knows Obafemi enough to know that he isn’t exactly a super deadly prolific finisher. He wasn’t exactly letting Aguero through was he ?
I know we had ET and we will be a bit more tired for Tuesday but I think we could be sharper for playing those minutes together and a win like that builds the all important confidence levels! Also the irony of scoring two goals with ten men when normally we struggle to score with eleven… Well done Saints and delighted to be in the fourth round!
The way I see it, we actually improved in extra time, suggesting that we should probably play a friendly match immediately before the Brentford game to insure we’re properly warmed up.
For those who remember the 3rd round turn around against the odds in when was it??? 197 ty something.. Sniff those towers.. dream those dreams.. the time is nigh..
