Ah, I do look at it slightly differently. The immunity from having Covid against being vaccinated is not the same though. 90% protection from a double jab 65% after having Covid The vaccine is more robust and targeted. Natural immunity is broader and less robust.
The current rules of entry into Aus include a statement that a non resident cannot claim a medical exemption on the basis of having had Covid within the past 6 months. Entry will only be allowed if full vaccination has occurred or evidence of a legitimate medical exemption is provided. Tennis Australia were told this via a letter last November from the Aus. government. Djokovic did not meet the terms of entry and faces deportation. As the Aus. PM keeps saying. Rules are rules and they are applied appropriately.
Cheers for that. Another spanner in the works from this end is he's claiming he tested positive on the 16th Dec and now every man and his dog are re tweeting / posting his own social media stuff which show him out and about on the 17th Dec when he should have been isolating.
Clearly a thick fuxking moron according to clever ****s on here. Or he’s got a book to sell?? I hope we hammer Everton like that cos that’s a proper beating
I saw a report last week, where a university had tested effectiveness of being double jabbed against having had COVID. After being double jabbed, the protection was 88% effective after a month, but dropped to 47% after five months and those numbers were fairly consistent across all those tested. Those who’d had COVID had far more variable results. Those who’d had severe symptoms (loss of taste, smell etc) had effective anti-bodies for longer than those double-jabbed, but those with mild symptoms had less protection than those double jabbed. 20% of those who’d had COVID actually had no anti-bodies, so no protection at all. These numbers are in relation to protection from Illness, rather than transmission, but I thought they were quite interesting.
Did they ever find out what went on here? What's the situation in canada with the virus and vaccines? Just heard that in Italy over 50s will be fined 100 Euro if not vaccinated, more if they go to work unvaccinated.
More allegations of the gov using dodgy data “There is a danger of public confidence in Covid-19 data being put at risk. They also should not just push worst-case scenarios to increase the impact of what they are saying.” https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...ow-ukhsa-warned-implausible-covid-statistics/
Be my guest. The current population of Canada is around 37.7 million. Reasonably under control without draconian restrictions. Bickering between Fed. and Provincial levels about approaches naturally. Borders - the Yanks still believe we are 6 ft under snow. I sense the equivalent of the NHS (Provincial) are a little backlogged on the elective surgery front and there are concearns about possible long-term mental health impacts (schooling issues and unemployment woes particularly in the hospitality/entertainment sectors). I personally will not be getting on a plane for a while. https://health-infobase.canada.ca/covid-19/vaccine-administration/
