AVB reportedly being fined £25,000 for today's post-match comments.

Wenger and SAF have received fines far lower than this in the past. Day by day I begin to lose love for this sport but never this club.

    Proud to be a Blue.

I think he should fight it. I think the club should get their lawers to take it to court.
The FA should be made to prove he was wrong in front of a court of law. Not in front of their corrupt little gang.
The ref was bent and AVB knows it.

The referee was an absolute idiot and AVB makes a good point. There were 17 fouls committed by each team but the cards were disproportionate, I think the FA should investigate Foy's performance.<ok>

It's laughable. I agree with Zinc, don't back down to the unethical conglomerate that is the FA/UEFA. The FA will always be in favour of clubs like United/Liverpool and against clubs like ourselves.

But they won't, they will stand by their man like a bunch of spineless ****'s that they are. Referee's are the FA's children and can do no wrong. No beef with the sending's off, it was the blindness that befell Foy whenever we were sinned against, and complete lack of unbiased judgement.

Agreed, a disgrace, I can't believe they haven't immediately come out with a 10-match ban for Drogba. That was one of the worst challenges I've seen in the past 10 years.

Really? I thought it was a great tackle, only wish it was barton who he tackled and the outcome was a broken leg

It must also be the first match you've watched in these 10 years.

    You're probably right there.

Mind you, I hear they don't show that many games down at the Colherne so Jeezon doesn't get much chance to watch football.

Boas was right- the crowd had a definite influence. Saying that, I can understand why he gave the major decisions he did, it was just one of those days where things didn't go your way. The £25000, as paltry a sum as it is to these people, should come out of Drogba's wages for his stupidity. In defence of Foy, and I realise it's little consolation, he could have sent Ashley Cole off for a very poor challenge right at the end but blew for full-time instead.

But then he could have given us a penalty and sent off the QPR player who pulled Lamps down in the area and stopped his goalscoring chance. The thing is he could have booked a lot more QPR players but chose not to but couldn't get his cards out fast enough against our players.
The Lamps pen incident was no different to the Bosingwa red card but he didn't even blow as he he didn't for many QPR fouls.
Derry hacked down Lamps and should have got a yellow but didn't even get a free kick and when he and Derry squared up Frank was the one who got the yellow.
Again, when Kenny pretended JT fouled him, they both squared up. Who got the yellow? That's right, Terry.
The ref was a **** and will always be a ****. He should be sacked. If I did my job as badly as him I would expect the sack.

The Lampard one should have been given, granted. I thought Derry got booked too for that one too and Lampard was silly to have a go back. Kenny's never pretended to be fouled before so I'd be surprised if Terry didn't catch him and, assuming he did, you'd expect a yellow to follow. Terry seemed a bit put off by the crowd as a few others may have been, particularly Luiz. To say he didn't blow for 'many QPR fouls' is a bit of an exaggeration. There was nothing really obvious that he missed other than possibly the Lampard penalty claim and, as I said, he could have sent Cole off at the end and didn't book Luiz for a pretty embarrassing dive. Obviously Foy didn't have a great game but there will be far worse refereeing performances this season especially given the occasion and a pretty fervent crowd.

I think you'd have to admit it's a relatively rare thing for a big club to feel so aggrieved about a refereeing performance after playing one of us minnows. Foy is generally one of the better refs.

Foy was a disgrace but you are right on one thing. There will be other **** reffing performances and thankfully there is more chance you will be on the receiving end. Unless Tony is using his money not to buy players but to buy...:emoticon-0103-cool:

Decisions aside, AVB and us getting fined just feels like a slap in the face. As someone eluded to the FA will always favour northern clubs i.e United and Liverpool.

Under the circumstance a fine of this multitude is more than just harsh, it is bordering farcical.

We've seen managers square up to each other in the past, even abuse refs and call them "robbers" etc yet receive lower fines.

To hell with the FA, let's just have a top 4 of City, United, Liverpool and Newcastle, because the reality is that is what they want IMO.

Biggest ****er (aside from Chris Foy) on that pitch yesterday was Paddy Kenny, simply for what he did to JT. JT tried to win a rebound in which he has the absolute right to do and PK seemed like he wanted any old excuse to strike up an argument with him and it worked resulting in a stupid yellow.

Its true that Cole could well have been dealt a red card and it probably would have been justified! I think the anguish most Chelsea fans felt was that Hoy very early on began appearing as QPR's 12th man! After a while the frustration of his decisions began getting to the players. My regret is the way they and AVB let it get to them! I'm sure in the cold light of day, today at the training ground, they will consider what they have learnt from all this!
QPR got their points and good luck to them, but how much better would it have been if there had been even handed refereeing!

    You're*.
Also "bad losing" makes no sense.

The QPR lot seem adamant about correcting grammatical errors so I though I would do the same.
