The FA Cup is tricky. It would be nice to do well. If some players need a bit of game time to keep them ticking over (its not one size fits all with management/fitness etc) then let them have a game. In the main though, **** the FA Cup this season. I get the building momentum feel good factor stuff, but say Willock or someone gets injured, its a **** day at the office. We will try and win it next year if we stay up.
Quite possibly (although impossible to say as he wasn't offered it). Irrelevant to Bruce's comment though. He was just stating the facts and keeping everyone realistic. **** for fans but pointless saying "he's the first of many" when you know full well he isn't. He just told the truth and it got held against him like everything else. **** manager but this hanging on his or any managers every word is silly.
He was just stating facts. Got pillared for it but the fans struggled to be objective from the start. Which I think is poor of fans, but then if we weren't appointing **** hawks, then hamstringing them with silly budgets, would the fans have got into such a mindset? Not something we have to worry about now but I wish our fans would stop mentioning his name and trying to make comparisons. There are none. We are now a different club and I think his name should be consigned to the past along with Ashley's.
We need to see a bid accepted ASAP so I can continue to enjoy reading the Sunderland fans performing teary eyed mental gymnastics.
I still think Willock can get back to where he was. Hopefully his injury problems have improved with this little break. He now has a different role under Howe, so we need to forget about those goals. He won't be bursting into the box from this deeper role, Howe has made it clear he sees him better utilised like he is now. I thought he was superb in the Norwich game. Tactically fantastic and it ruined us when he went off for Hayden.
100% agree with this. I don't care about Bruce or Carver or Allardyce. It's done and Howe is working in a completely different environment now to what any of the previous in the last 14 years had to handle.
I like the idea of Diego Costa. He's great craic. Proper street fighter. I don't know why but I could see him loving it here. Probably need to sign two strikers though to cover the inevitable sending off
Here’s a ****ing thing I bet you all didn’t think about. We finally have an current England international in our squad. How many years is it since we could say that eh!
I gave him a chance. Even said at the beginning that I thought he would win the fans over and do well. What I didn’t envisage was a lot of crap coming out of his mouth. The attacks towards the fans. The lies. The blame he placed on everything else but himself. He’s gone now and I wish him well. I just hope he doesn’t beg another club to rob.
Oh don’t get me wrong I think Willock will come good. He will be fine. I also think Lewis will also. Get a couple of good solid midfielders in and it will honestly transform some of the players.
