With Patterson coming back looks like one of our goalies is out for some reason. I am really thinking the season should be halted for a week or two.

hopefully just cover for the bench and the first team is strong, i'd rather we played and not have games in hand.

Could just be a short term Covid thing.

Wise by the club if it is.

Well this is worrying. Very very admirable of the club though. Apparently a "significant number of positive tests" today.

Great position we are in when we can cover covid with players who are fit and ready to go.

Sure I read 9 out 2 ‘first 11’. Guess we see tomorrow.

To me, this means the club have every intention of playing games and winning the league ...

... anything less would be waving the white flag we've seen brought out before.

    I’m all for keep playing.

By all accounts the variant is weaker and doesn’t have the extended recovery period of the last wave, why out ourselves in the backlog of games situation that in my opinion has twice cost us promotion in 3 seasons?

I’ve no doubt all 3 are easily League One standard.

I think its absolutely the right thing to do. And it shows brilliant intent, as well as being good for fans etc. But not going to pretend it doesn't massively worry me considering the form we were in and the fact we had a very settled side and shape which will now probably be shaken up. It's not the quality of the players coming in I worry about, its the cohesion we are losing.

Just got to hope our positive intent doesn't bite us in the ass.I guess I'd rather we had positive intent and got caught out for it than negative intent that occasionally went right.

Winchester is back, Xhemajli is fit, and we've won plenty of games with Burge in goal ...

... whoever comes in seems to raise their game these days, Haway the Lads.

Aye, suppose time will tell regarding what sort of team we can put out. If we field a scratch XI and still win it would be a massive statement of intent

Makes the decision to loan Harris and Wearne out today all the more baffling

To be fair the three, in the thread title, have more experience and are probably fitter ...

... I'd imagine they'd be on the bench at best.

From what I've seen on twitter - Patterson will be starting. It's heavily rumoured both Burge and Hoffman are out.

I doubt we'd recall him if not to start, as Carney would have been fine as sub.

If there is a problem with covid running through the club, didn't Boro have to play their game when it happened to them cos they were on Sky?

Bit like international postponements - you're damned if you do and damned if you don't
