Yes maybe I'm being a tad naive but I struggle to understand what is so grossly complex with the sale of a club with one set of shareholders who are entitled to almost all of the debt? I know it's not the sort of thing you could sort in a day or two, but this seems a tad unusual. Is it the way Acun is trying to finance the purchase?
See Ulrikas post. It's not so much complex - that's just a word Baz used - but it is going to be a ball-ache and time consuming once you get into the minutia of the sheer number of facets involved.
You're right, in the grand scheme of things it isn't hugely important whether it happens before Everton or after. The most important thing is that it does get done. However, it is a shame that it couldn't have been done midweek with a big fanfare and few days of hype and buildup before the game, leading to a big crowd. You and I will be there anyway, but many more could be attracted with a big publicity push in the wake of a completed takeover. Instead it looks like it'll be just a normal 3rd round FA Cup tie, with a crowd to match.

I'm stating the obvious here, but it's clear for all to see that Acun likes to be in the limelight. This makes me think that this will all be concluded tomorrow,who knows,maybe just before kick-off,in front of the media/cameras/press? I'm a betting man,I'd bet on it if odds were available(then again I'm not overly successful with my gambling habits).. Anyway....My tip is conclusion Tomorrow.
Seems a bit silly to sacrifice potential ticket sales just for a publicity stunt. Would make me a bit uneasy about the style of ownership we're in for if style is favoured over substance.
It's only a hunch,a gut feeling if you like. But I'd hazard a guess that a 1000 tickets at £15 a piece is pocket money in the grand scale of the operation.
It's pocket money, but it's depriving supporters from going to see a game that they're waiting to know about the ownership for. Just comes across as a bit selfish for the sake of it. Anyway, guess we'll see.
