This is the big question. I'm reading into it that it hasn't and negotiations are continuing. This could also be why Tan Kesler is back in town (to try once more to get a deal over the line). Baz specifically mentioned he's not the one in the room with Ehab trying to get it done. Surely if the deal was done, with paperwork submitted, just waiting EFL approval, either the club or Acun / Tan would say that is the status. The silence is deafening. I hope to hell I'm wrong .... but who would really be that surprised if the Allams ****ed it up.
What if..the 'leaks' we got wind of, were a tactical ploy to put pressure on the club to move the sale through.
Wouldn't the new regime want some higher upper here to take control when it's done? Hence Tan Kesler coming here to recieve the keys.
Everything was agreed by both sets of solicitors, who worked up to Christmas Eve to do so, and then sent off to the EFL/FL, on the 24th. There are then four Bank holidays, and I expect limited staff on duty plus the EFL having virtually a full fixture list postponed of which they are involved in every single postponement to deal with. I don't think our sale will have been the number one priority during a week when nearly the full fixture list was postponed or in danger of being postponed. Then it's New Year and two more Bank holidays. ( assuming the EFL work on a Saturday, New Years Day) Tan Kesler spent Christmas Day flying back to his family having worked on this trying to push it over the line before Christmas. So there is no 'assuming' at all. Everything possible is being done to get the deal over the line as soon as possible. If it fails at this stage then something of biblical proportions has happened. And I don't see that happening.
