Rowley's comments make a lot of sense, though. Even if you're not reading them straight, because your head's been turned by gazillions of Saudi cash.

If you get stumped by FFP, that will be hilarious, albeit a problem l wouldn't mind having.

Not really, he's suddenly turned £12m into £50m. We're all aware there's agent fees and other **** blah blah, but trying to make this will impeed potential other signings is hilarious.

As for a "player on the wrong side of 30"... Haha hahaha! Pure Mackem horseshit, he's an England regular at the top of his game and a massive improvement on what we have now.... should we stick with Jamaal Lewis cos he's on the right side of 30?

I wonder how Rowley will manage to forecast doom if we sign Barbosa...

Mackem logic is funny at times.
I bet that Mackem goes into a shop and pays triple the price asked.
'£1000 for a telly.... here love have £3k- bargain marra'.

I think he’s getting mixed up with the deals they used to get taken to the cleaners when they were a premier league club, all them years ago, I forget how long

Jack Rodwell, £80k a week for never playing, never being on the bench and never training when they were in the Championship. Well I wouldn't have turned it down either...

I listened to total sport last night and the mackems were talking about Defoe, at 39 coming back and maybe Josh Maja.... yes the same Maja who ditched them and so many of them spat fewm in his direction when he buzzed off....

Oh how the mighty have fallen.....

Maybe Sewpa Kev could come out of retirement along with Gabbiadini to help them....

You don't know what the deal will be though. It's going to take a lot of cash to get good players to come and that is going to cramp your style, depending on how well the negotiations are handled. The temptation to pay over the odds will be pretty strong, given the size of your owner's cash pile, after all.

<laugh> That is the most bitter post I've seen yet. Straw clutching stuff. I'd suggest he sticks to something more up his street intelligence wise. Like licking windows for instance. I knew the Trippier one would trigger some people. Some Mackems are a bit less emotional and will simply think "Bastard that's a good signing for them ****s". You can't get away from it, he's first choice for one of the best sides in Europe. But the emotional types who get fully invested in tribalism are in for a tough time over the next 10yrs if they are going to respond like this. They may get chucked a short term bone if we are relegated I suppose.

I don't know the technicalities of the deal, but I can safely say I know more than Rowley, who stated the price tag was £34m and it turned out to be £12m!

Cramp our style? I'm quite happy for our style to be cramped by a regular English International who was one of the key players for a team who won La Liga last season and other players of the quality.

Not sure a Trump gif adds anything to your comment, but there it is.

Newcastle is probably a good move for Trippier. He's a defender and will be getting plenty of practice, after all. However, I see Botman is less keen on a relegation scrap. Be interesting to see if the Trippier signing helps attract other decent players, or Harry Maguire :)
