Yep.
Pity that sensible approach isn't taken in all sorts of other matters - 'responsibilities' and '(acceptance of) consequences' for your choices rather than 'rights'. The reasonable price to pay to live in a well functioning civilised society. Don't try to get me to expand, it will break the politics rules and upset a few.

The two independent experts approved his status based on documents provided at face value as per their requirements for access to the tournament.

The visa rules are a bit more stringent and require the documents to be evidenced, which is where he failed. This would have come to light earlier if he had the correct visa which already required this. He had a visa which didn't cover exemptions.

It is political though, but its not helped him being a bit of a ****, and also an anti-vaxxer ****. He made his choice. He shoould expect consequences like everyone else.

Djokovic was not the only played to apply for an exemption however, with tournament organisers receiving 26 applications, although thus far they have declined to confirm how many players were successful in obtaining one.

Ossian Shine, Global Sports Editor for Reuters, has unveiled another potential huge twist in the bizarre saga.

"The visa Novak Djokovic was using to gain entry to Australia was the same one used by three other tennis players already granted permission, sources close to Oz Open tell Reuters..." he tweeted.

How much does this mean though? What if the other three tennis players fulfilled requirements and Djokovic didn't? We don't know enough about it.
 
My understanding is that he says he has had covid twice and doesn't therefore need the vaccine. (According to some rules) But he can't prove it. I might be wrong. Personally I don't care.

Its nice to see that the Australians, just don't give a **** who they upset. Mind you they are not as bad as Homelands Security, now they are really not fun guys when you land in the states. Bastards called me a foreigner!

At least two of those were also being reviewed according to the ABC live update. They just don't get reported as they aren't as big news.

Quite. Incidents happen with many medical drugs and procedures.

Using Covid vaccine injured as an isolated 'concern' when discussing the safety of the vaccine is pure grandstanding.

I think we should help those injured by the vaccine as much as we should help anyone injured by any medical procedure.

When I read the words 'Vaccine Injured' in the original post I was confused and googled it....**** me,I'm mortally wounded as I have most of these symptoms!!

I suppose this list will become the template for claimants.

It seems to be a lack of trust in their testing and other procedures, if they think someone that they've tested and shown to be clear, is still not trusted in to their country, especially when they've got their own medical experts around them.
