Not sure if we would be looking at purchase or loan but worth remembering there is a max of 2 premier league loans and we already have Broja

 

Out of the two, McAtee is the one that intrigues me more.

 

What kind of players are they ? I know AM and CF but no more than that

 

They both get good on football manager so Tom wants them

 

I see that Liam Delap was born in Winchester, he's one of our own.

 

Given his dad was playing for us in 2003 I'm not surprised he was born around here!

 

Very happy if we take a punt on Delap. I requested him in last seasons transfer thread. Good prospect, reminds me of Beattie a bit, when we nabbed him from Rovers reserves. That turned out OK.

 

What type of forward is Delap ?

Is he the one that some people were asking why he couldn’t play if we didn’t rate Harry Lewis as third choice

I think this is the answer …

 

Good size, strong and can finish. Beattie like in my opinion.

 

Perhaps we are looking at him as an option for if we can’t extend Broja

 

Good with both feet, looks a real prospect.

 

There are couple of really odd rumoured outgoings. Romeu to Villa is perhaps not odd as he is a good player who is nearing the end of his contract. But I don’t see Villa paying what we would want

But there are rumours of :

- Lyanco to Sporting but at “low cost” / loan
- Perraud to Newcastle

Why would either go after six months. And why would we entertain selling Lyanco at a loss so soon.

Really does show that some rumours must just be completely made up

In fairness the Perraud one is because they apparently wanted him in the summer and want a left back. But we surely don’t entertain it especially after their cheating over the game with us ?

But it is very strange because they could easily pick more realistic players to make up rumours about such as KWP or Djenepo.

 

He is! I remember he looked really good in a brief cameo for the city first team.

Worth a gamble imo.

 

Does anyone know / remember all the big club academy players we have been linked with since signing Tino and demonstrating that there will be opportunities to play ?

There are these two - Delap and McAtee

And I read about Ben Elliott from Chelsea who is a CM who can apparently play defensive or attacking midfield and has a contract up in the summer

Part of me thinks there was another one?

It is intriguing that we are linked with City academy players and they are linked with one of ours in Chauke. Do they not have any defensive midfielders ?

 

I wonder what his throw is like

In a leftfield idea, and with our new Danish link, how about Christian Eriksen on a free? Says he's back in top shape, and we could do with a creative midfielder...

 

Is he allowed to play in England? I know he isn’t in Italy which is why he was released by Inter
