They didn't explicitly rule out any January spending but it does amaze me just how football fans think. We have just been taken over by very promising owners that look a huge improvement on what we had before. Not only that but they have plans to create a global footballing group with Southampton potentially the crown jewel to secure our short and long term success. And yet people's first reaction is "But why can't you buy new players NOW?!"

It's everybody's initial question... Someone did ask whether Ralph's football brand will be the corner stone of the other footballing brand played at other clubs which I did think was a really interesting question. Blackmore said it only strengthens Ralph's hand more.
But was it ever directly said there would be a lack of spending ? I don’t expect much but where are they getting it from? Or are they pre-emptively moaning ?
Absolutely ecstatic. Been a chore for me watching a team with zero ambition, and an owner that has no interest. Whatever happens now, will be exciting.
