Interesting post and thread. As a fairly new member to this board I still try to have a bit respect to the long standing members. Including Monty lol . I know a lot don't like RTG but I did/do. As I'm getting older now "cough" I've calmed down and prefer the sedate nature on here. Keyboard warriors have been mentioned and I have to say I'm a man of the world and thick skinned. I'm maybe too outspoken in the real world as my mrs points out and cringes at times when we're out. I've worked with gypsies on the tarmac and scaffolding so I served my time in pìss taking I even like going over to the mags board for a bit of banter, although they're shìte What some of them don't realise is, regardless of whether they do well. I'm really just concerned for us to do well. No I don't have anyone on ignore. I like a good argument and banter but I respect this board as I like to mix with Sunderland supporters and keep in touch. And may I just add. @Gordon Armstrong banning the mags on here I find funny as fook. His choice as a mod and reading some of them crying about it on their board but proclaiming they're not bothered Priceless irony eh @Roy Munson
Good post Nig. I'm fairly new as well and believe that everyone has a right to an opinion. Only got one person on ignore cos he was always so friggin negative (not sure if he still is). At the end of the day, "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me"

Think we both came from RTG about the same time and about the same age mate. Some people take things too seriously these days. That said I remember on RTG a member. I liked him as a poster but he got stick and couldn't hack it and left. Don't think he give it out. Yeah it's the bullies I can't stand, that give shìt to those that don't want it or give it. Especially those ones that dish it out but can't take it back. I've had some right good laughs and argument on forums over the years lol and it cracks me up how some take say a car forum and the slightest post out of hand It can be fun arguing etc but I've seen good forums end when it went too far.
I appreciate your words, Gordon Armstrong wasn't a fixture on these boards for the first 4/5 years until we had it established, he then turned up from JA606 with a itchy finger, got himself a mods job, you lot turned up via smug in 2019, regulars ****ed off and here you are today.. What I have read as a outsider it seems a good balanced board now, good debate and a few laughs as well.. Think I've been a member on RTG for at least ten years but didn't post a lot. Was also a member of another Sunderland AFC forum and it might of been the old one of here. I was a member of Sunderland scooter club forum but that succumbed to Facebook unfortunately.
