Don't agree. Under Klopp we have done a combination of both but depends on the personnel on pitch. Under Brod, it was 100% do not boot it.
Fuming we've let a two goal lead go but you're right, Chelsea have been the better side and we had no right being 2-0 up
With Salah, Mane and Jota we will always have a chance but, let's be honest, Chelsea have outplayed us so far.
Both goals are avoided by simple clearances but the decision is to play a team mate into bother and then lose it. The first goal.is abysmal beforehand as each and every one takes a touch and has a decision and none clear the lines or play a channel ball that's a fight to get the team up. Tsimikas and mane get caught in a terrible space and the ball should go. They win it and them milner gets involved plus a quality finish. The second is a team with zero shape and henderson flips a ****e ball at trent who can go do nothing but head it up which he desont even do. Henderson should have hoofed that one high up and let the team find some shape. They can walk through as a result. The team is absolutely wide open. If this was leicester they'd have parked bus at 1-0 and it's still be 1-0
VVd knows when. He did it earlier down our right, jogged across booted it out. Think sometimes younger guys feel they have to pass it or do something fancy in faces get moaned at for just booting it away
I like Jota, but it doesn't work in a game we have no control in. The three of them struggle to make an impact. Henderson and Milner in the same midfield ffs, we may as well loan back wijnaldum and have 3 clones in there like a few years back
I find Jota a bit frustrating. No strength to just get hold of thre ball and hold it. His first touch isn't great either. He's good at running with it and being it the right place at the right time
Is henderson a younger guy? Also vvd took a touch and played it to tsimikas who was back to chelsea and pinned in on that first goal btw. No touch hoof is the % play
Credit to Milner to still be playing at 35 (almost 36) but there comes a time when maybe its time to stop. Looks like this season is a season too far for Milner, can't say I've seen him have a good game this season (a few average matches).
I like Milner because he's always 100% committed but he's not good enough anymore. What's frustrating is, as a footballer you decline with age but one thing that doesn't decline it's passing. It should get better with experience. Milner can't pass for ****!
Never really was his game. He aint a Gareth Barry, who at the end just needed to stand in the middle humping the ball forward.
Got to say Henderson’s goals and assists have really masked how he fails to track runners and lack of composure. He has been tragic and he didnt need to put Trent under such pressure and them fail to track the runners. My only hope is Chelsea are also being exposed by over the top balls so lets see what the second half brings
Can’t blame Milner. He should be a squad player to sure things up in final 15 but with injuries covid and Xmas fixtures is having to start more often. At the moment, the ball isn’t sticking. We only look dangerous on the counter. Our passing as a team is poor and just giving chelsea the ball back way too easily
