A superb renewal of the Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle which could see a shake-up in the Ballymore market with Ginto (20/1), Grand Jury (50/1), Hollow Games (33/1) and Whatdeawant (18/1) all currently quoted for the 2m 5f novice hurdle at Cheltenham. If one of those wins very decisively they will likely become new favourite for the Ballymore.

Tousarock at 15/2 gets Fanning in the plate and returns to c/d since 2020 when the win was good in a class 5 . Tousarock is no stranger to class 4 an should go close . Win bet

A bit of homework for the regular readers. Have a look at Lieutenant Henderson's 2 entries on Friday (7th Jan). If you don't look at both and exclaim, 'Wow!', then in my book there is something wrong with you.

    "A superb renewal of.............."

Have to smile at Oddy's frequent use of phrases like this. Know he won't mind my pulling his leg a bit on this, at least, I hope not! How's about: this one, one of these days?

"At Sedgefield today, a fascinating renewal of the 'Fred Bloggs Homemade Meat Pies' Selling Handicap Hurdle." :emoticon-0105-wink: :bandit:

I've been thinking all day that Hollow Games might actually be the better of the 2 Bective Stud runners so he gets my vote at 7/2.

Ginto saw it out best but I'm not sure he's an Envoi Allen or Bob Olinger. Pretty workmanlike (unless the first 3 are all very good - they could be, in such a superb renewal <ok> <laugh>). Quotes of between 6/1 and 8/1 about Ginto for the Ballymore - vying for favouritism with Journey With Me and Sir Gerhard.

Only just got going today, so to speak, but fancy Nashville Nipper to run a decent race in the final event at Plumpton (15:30). In days gone by, used to love going to this quaint little NH track.

Hopefully JWM will finally run the Ballymore although it seems difficult.
