    Got out of jail there.
    Poor performance. Lack of ideas.
But it's the points that count.
Plus 3 against the Scum <cheers>

Job done, poor performance and Dave saved us… but job done. We couldn’t afford another draw.

Move on to the next and let’s forget today in a hurry.

1-0 FT. Two bloody awful performances back-to-back.
A double of 1-0's completed over a team that can't defend most weeks.
They'll feel hard done by to have got 0 points against us, though.

I know we weren’t particularly good but Watford deserved nothing out of that for the most negative football I’ve seen for ages.

At least we were trying to attack, we just weren’t very good at it.

**** Watford though, for as bad as we were, teams that just sit back for 90 (in this case 101) minutes with no desire to win a game can **** right back off to the Championship.

Got away with it a bit there. Felt like a Nuno game, we started a bit meh and then got worse. No early subs and very little done to try and change things until late.

They struggled with our midfield runners all game but no one managed to do anything with it. I guess you give the motm to Hugo for dealing with a couple of difficult situations but I don't think anyone else was above a 5 today.

Thought we created enough to win the game by a narrow margin, should have had 2 pens after all. The lack of a cutting edge for so long was really worrying though. Emerson really needs to work on his delivery and trying 352 instead of 343 would have been welcome.

Deserved it after the bullshit against Southampton though. **** Watford, Up The Spurs

Can't remember us doing that for years...continuing to attack and not giving up.

Don't recall it since we beat Douthampton in the cup replay back in 2020.

But that was reminiscent of the Pochettino teams of 2015-18 where we regularly won games late on.

Very funny to watch Merson crying cos we didn't bring Dele on..."you are looking for a goal late on you need to win you gotta put Dele on, you just gotta!"

Yeah...but we didn't put him and got the goal...so we didn't gotta did we?

Watching Watford today, I definitely think that Newcastle will survive.

As for us further proof for Conte that we need reinforcements, particularly in creative positions.

Was trying to work out which ex Forest player he was
(once he mentioned John Robertson re the Emerson crossing) . :)

Thought he was very honest on the Spurs attack
(told it straight - not the snide stuff you get from the usual suspects) .

One thing I do worry about is some players look burned out already, with Son the most obvious example and he has been for a few weeks

Given how brutal our fixtures are in January, we're going to need fresh legs one way or another
