In many ways Sheffield Wednesday are similar to ourselves. Old well established club, working class base, and big following. Dreadful last few seasons.

A lot of their fans had awful long journey ( bad crash on motorway), but lots of fans followed them last night.

Moore needs to have a quick few wins to survive.

I am desperate for us to get automatic promotion, but I would not mind a club like Sheffield Wednesday going up with us.

Well what a game. Thought we controlled the game from about 10 mins in. Could have had about 8. Was very surprised at how poor sheff wed were as I thought they would be a tougher game than Doncaster.

very decent new year present. Now let’s keep this form up and really start to put some pressure on those around us.

Really enjoyed the performance last night even if I did have to watch it on the iPad due to my positive covid test. Thought the whole team were at it from about 15 mins in. The football played and the desire to close down was top notch. Pleased for Stewart deserves that for the work he puts in every game. Special mention for Dajuka who for a young kid in his first season away from his homeland is starting to put together some very pleasing performances. Still a lot to learn but well done to him. Top at the end of 2021 does for me, now for a good transfer window and another big push to promotion. Keep the faith lads and lasses and hears to a great 2022. :1980_boogie_down:

Just another thought about the way we are trying to play now, which is a lot of hard work chasing the ball half way up and higher.

It's good to watch, but it would ve next to useless if we were doing this, winning the ball and just leathering the thing towards goal somewhere.

But we have a number of players now who can use the ball properly if we get it quick, and that can be pretty hard to defend against.

This time last year, though we had Improved, however we got the ball, mostly if it didn't fall to McGeady it was a wasted boot into the box. Some change!

Yeh lads, the expert on Quest (George Elek) was saying we were brilliant but we weren’t even at our best, and that the rest of the league needs to watch out when we hit top gear.

It was the most complimentary thing I’ve ever heard an EFL journalist say about us. :D

    My take on yesterday.

Best I have seen us for a good 5 or 6 seasons. AND we need to bear in mind there were probably 2 or 3 on from the beginning who would normally be on the bench.

Calm & assured, took their chances well and the football at times was that good I think Barcelona will ask for the video<laugh>.

Although just cameo roles could Benji take that extra forward place and Alves be the beast in the middle of the pitch for us? Probably not but neither done their chances any harm imo.

Good support from Wednesday although like most clubs they had a couple of bell ends there.

And to be fair the ref was deffo one of the better ones we have had. Yes he got a couple of decisions wrong but overall I would have him refereeing all of our games.

Came out of there buzzing and still am.

Absolutely fantastic again, I really enjoyed the football at the start of the season but this is similar but a bit more dynamic. Quality all over the pitch.
