Though to be fair, if the situation was reversed a lot on here would be making exactly the same comments and saying how unfair it was!

I have to agree that this fiasco lies with the Premier League. Surely they can see this as a tactical ruse given that your three best forwards are out. Premier League rules state you only have to have 13 fit players plus a keeper. Unbelievable that they are not demanding this is followed. We had to play half the Academy team at Man U last year and lost 9-0 due to injuries - didn't see the Premier League fighting our corner then.
That was completely wrong. Your game should have been postponed. No argument there. These rules were brought in for player welfare and are applied for any absences and not just Covid. Not saying it is right, but we didn't make the rules.
So the gods briefly smile on us. Play the kids vs Camb Utd, then get signings in by Watford game, and a combination of that and the Hornets being **** and having some at the Afcon should stand us in good stead.
We don’t have 13 fits players and a goalkeeper unless we play 3 goalkeepers at the same time. Our cancellation is genuine. We played Leicester Liverpool Man City and Man Utd in the space of 16 days. Got hammered in most games with an extremely thin squad. We have 7/8 players out with injuries and 4/5 with Covid. We are NOT the team taking the piss here my friend. When we played manu who had two games cancelled because of covid ended up playing us after having a 16 day break when we had already played 3 games in the period. THEY HAD A FULL SQUAD! Crystal Palace tried to get a game cancelled and the only person who had covid was the manager.
Pre cancellation I would’ve predicted 1-1 but post cancellation I’m going 0-4…..Vlahovic(2) Dembele and Joelinton to score
Clearly we are frustrated as we were chalking this up as our biggest win of the season which will be unlikely against your revised mercenary 11 post Jan. Incidentally Southampton have 9 senior players out but still wanted to play the game. I am presuming your cup match will also be cancelled if you do not have fit senior representation which will be a shame. However we are where we are so happy new year to you up there.

Do none of your players get paid? I thought amateurism went out of the sport at least at this level over 100 years ago. Who would have thought Southampton didn’t pay its players in this day and age. Anyway Happy New Year to all down south.
