Surely at this stage it won’t fall through. Acun is a top media and businessman. He will have a team that knows it’s stuff. He is pre appointing his team. It had already cost him real money. Surely… someone please put to an end to this misery.
I basically want to think, and do feel, exactly the same ... but it would seem that nobody has any sort of valid confirmation that the deal is done and it's just awaiting EFL approval. In fact, the official lines continue to suggest the opposite. The silence from the club and Acun is becoming increasingly deafening; surely someone should be saying something, especially if the deal is now fully done and just awaiting EFL approval.
I agree with you this is sheer agony I wake up every morning thinking this is going to be the day I am a positive person ,good sense of humour but after all these years of those bastards twisting and turning .I am just a simple chap…
You ever tried registering a death or arranging a burial/ cremation over the festive period? That can be difficult and cause the odd sleepless night and agonising morning... Talk about drama!! Some people think it's the end of the world FFS!!!
Context. This is a football message board. Comments are likely made within the context of this being a football message board and us all being football fans. You are the one adding the unnecessary drama. Sorry for your loss if that has happened.
Would just like to take a moment to appreciate us having a Baz connected to the club. They’re a dying breed are Barry’s. We are fortunate to have one here.
It was Ehab who suggested the EFL were delaying things, Baz hasn't said anything to back it up as far as I'm aware.
I don’t for one minute think it’s the end of the world. No one does. Nothing is that bad. I was just making a statement. Believe me I have an eye on other things. And you talk about drama. FFS
I thought he'd said it had gone to the EFL for the fit and proper director's test though and they only do that when the deal is done
According to the HDM, all paperwork relating to the Owners and Directors Test was submitted to the EFL on December 2nd.
Yep, so it's clearly pretty much all agreed. I don't understand why/how the deal would fall through at this stage. If it's £30m as has been touted then that's a very good price for the Allams. It's a business that loses money on a day to day and requires the selling of assets to keep us in the black. But by selling those assets, you increase the chance of dropping back down to L1 significantly. It's hard to see where we can go under them and I'm sure they're aware of that too.
...... and that they are (still) trying to conclude a deal, then the timing is out of their hands (as it's over to the EFL to give final approval). Happy to stand corrected if someone would like to add a link showing different.
From a completely selfish bastard sort of way , I can’t make the Everton game and be gutted to miss the big welcome / **** off , so if Ehab can just keep checking those details a little longer until January 9th , no dramas
