I never understand players go for power straight down the middle.

If you go for power fine, but put it one side or the other.

If you're going down the middle, take some juice off it and make sure you lift it to the top half of the goal.

The idea of power is that the ball goes in before the keeper can get there. Going down the middle requires the keeper to nice out the way.

That said most keepers do just flop out of the way. Salah hit his in the direction schmeichel flopped, at a perfect height and frankly it was easy to stop.

 

Smash down the middle is better than soft at a good height to one side.

Keeper just has to go the right way and anyone could catch that **** Salah did yesterday

 

Thing is, had Salah not hit it so hard, Schmeichel would have been out the way by the time the ball got there
