I spent a great day with the lads at Ipswich, had a good drink and stopped off for a meal on the way home. Mrs Smug couldn't go because she had all her housework to do so I videoed it all and sent it on WhatsApp .... ... just so she can never say I don't know how to show her a good time.
So if a “tsunami” ( as it’s being described this morning) of covid patients is being expected by uk hospitals , why aren’t they preparing the Nightingales ?
You prob have the more accurate info there. Thinking back , this tsunami idea may be another example of one reporter looking for a headline to his name
No surprise there. The press are scaremongering by looking for clickbait. I don't think there will be a lockdown, nor do I think we need to. Like the majority of people in this country, I have had my 3 jabs and wear a mask in shops. Outside of that I'm living my life as normal. Spoke to someone who works at the RVI the other day, who told me that all of the people in their Covid wards were unvaccinated. These people have my sympathy because they are gullible enough to believe a bunch of keyboard warriors on the Internet. However, they will stop getting my sympathy if they start slagging the NHS for not reducing waiting lists for other operations. It's them that are using up hospital beds and staff resources after all.
No staff to open them, all the extra staff are giving out jabs. The Nightingales were only ever a gimmick.
Had a canny Christmas, due back at work tomorrow, done my lateral flow.....then another. FFS. On a week's leave next week and just booked 4 nights away in the lakes. Got pcr booked for tomorrow....fingers crossed.
