No complaints there, a terrific run by the young Zanahiyr. Take nothing away from the winner, Sharjah, a brave effort as he was made to pull out all the stops by the second. Super race!
In the last at Leopardstown, will have a bit on Smooth Player, who will be ridden by a rider with the good name of Mr. Harry Swan! Edit: That was rubbish, Mr. Swan, by both me and you!
Stage Star very impressive at Newbury. Paul Nicholls yet again has a horse with an extremely bright future!
Does a Flat career beckon, me wonders?!? Still say that Dublin Racing Festival Bumper win, of Kilcruit's, was one of the greatest I've ever seen in that sphere. If he's not going to reach the very top over timber it seems only fair to give him a chance to do the same on the level. They need to hurry up though as the old boy is not a young horse - 7 in a couple of days.
Nothing wrong with his jumping, looks like he lost his action on the turn for home and/or has another issue. Wouldn’t be surprised if they announce an injury in the next week or two
It is a big "jump" from bumpers to staying flat races though - as Pam Sly found out with Eileen Dover.
That 12/1 re Galopin Des Champs all gorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn by the way. 10/1 now the best price.
