This is a tougher defeat to take than the West Ham match. Missed chances and the opportunities have been there to create more chances but we either made poor decisions or ball control wasnt good enough.
Yup. West Ham we were poor all game. This game we had more than enough chances in first half and start of second to win it. Problem is, looks even worse after Klopp talking about the break needed etc
Well I've never been do glad for a game to be over. Could have stuck another 90 minutes on the end and we wouldn't have scored. Jota was absolutely shocking, gave the ball away continuously. Why has Henderson suddenly got it into his head to strike every ball that drops to him. All round **** show.
Painful defeat. From my analysis, this has was not a structural issue but more of a personnel issue. It was clear from the go that Leicester was short handed and they were going to play a long ball game. With Fabinho on a yellow to suspension and Leicester playing deep he was not needed. I felt awful for Keita that he came on changed the game midweek and he was benched. Then to make it worse,he is brought on and sent to the left side which is more of a tactical deep position then asked to play as a holding two with Milner where he couldnt impact the game. He is going to the AFCON why keep him on the bench FFS. This is a game that was on Klopp as the 433 was working and it should have been Firmino for Mane and Keita for Ox with Hendo holding. This result has been coming and we can only dust ourselves up and try to win at Chelsea.
Score the pen. mane scored simple 1v1 it’s 2-0 and job done. Don’t see how can blame the tactics for this, worked fine until our players missed 2 sitters
So why change it to a 4231 there was nothing wrong with 433 we lost an extra body amd the formation change made it worse. We created the chances just didnt take them.
I am talking about the subs. We were doing ok with the 433 but we switchef to a 4231 and things went south from there
