There won’t be any new players coming in without sales. Away to Leicester on Saturday will be at least 5 - 0 to home side. I wonder if the goals against tally will be over 100? This seems like a rerun of the end of the last EPL season. Sorensen misses a sitter. 2 - 0 down looks like another big score.
They look to be playing as if they know they are relegated and why bother? Gilmour, Normann and Kabak will return to their parent clubs. I find all this very depressing and have decided to keep away from this forum until next August in the Championship.

Should have leveled, from easy chance.
    Now 2 down.

I'll make a revision - 5-0 or 6-0 - not because Palace are so good but because we are unbelievably bad :steam:

    Horrible horrible defending.

We need Farke back, we at least lost valiantly.

I’d normally be pissed off about the mere five minutes added (yet again, it’s a total fix) given there were clearly way more than that in the stoppage but it’s probably a mercy.

When are the players who were missing from the Arsenal/Palace games due to injury/covid back? We could do with someone like Krul in goal, Gunn not good enough.

Back to the championship, I’m usually upbeat about results but really can’t see how we will get another win, these are the game we need to pick points up,

Yeah sadly it looks like £5m wasted on a keeper with zero confidence.

Desperately trying to find some positives today ......

I am pleased to see Byram playing after a lengthy absense.
    Beyond that, I am struggling

    Lucy the commentator

" Well the thing about Norwich is they don't score enough goals and in the Premier league you really got to score goals or you don't win games, they need to defend better too because otherwise you end up losing too "

Thank you for that amazing insight Lucy .

That accent and endless state the obvious **** goes straight through my brain like a dentist drill.

So, as expected complete waste of 2.5m on gunn, no attempt to dive for the penalty, presumably signed for his name
Gilmour needs suing for impersonation of a footballer, wouldn't even wish him on the binners
No bite in the middle, no options or movement upfront, devoid of ideas or passion.

Complete one track team build from pre-season with no thought of a plan b - Webber!

Let's be honest we'd be better of paying off all the contracts of those starting, except maybe Byram & Sorenson (?) and buying in guys from the lower leagues and giving them the rest of the season would be better

To be fair to her our team can’t even do the basics, so maybe we do need this level of instruction?

Don't shoot me down, but I can see a few positives. Placheta is actually improving as the rest of the team deteriorates. Byram has looked OK, as has Giannoulis. We've actually created a few chances rather than the zero of the last few games. (I feel sorry for Sorensen missing that sitter because that will probably justify leaving him out for the next twenty games).

I think the non-regulars have played OK on the whole, except for Gunn, who is a total waste of 5m (thanks Stuart). The players who have looked total dross are Gilmour, McLean and Lees-Melou. I don't like scapegoating but McLean makes the mistake for the penalty, Gilmour gives the ball away needlessly for the second, and Lees Melou screwed up twice but was lucky to get away with it. This must be the worst midfield I can remember Norwich having for a very long time.

Agree about Byram but Giannoulis has played well and Lees-Melou has added bite and through ball passing. We've created some good chances like the corner that got away and Byram's header that was deflected on to the corner of post and bar. Idah has got behind the defence and Tzolis has got into it more but the defence has lost out on the key balls that led to goals. I'll keep watching to see how the new players coming in do but our season is all but over now.

That's why I said earlier that we will take another hiding here - and not because Palace are that good - they are not, as shown by the chances we have created, although failed to take.
