Considering what Rehab has said, perhaps this thread should be retitled to: New owners, definitely. Highly likely. However, the Leicester City programme notes might be a reminder that it ain't over until the new owner raises the scarf.
I realise you didn’t say that, have you seen anywhere that the EFL fit an proper persons test has been obtained by Acun. I certainly haven’t so when people are saying awaiting approval by the EFL I tend to think that’s the reason. Like I’ve said when a deal is finally agreed by both parties the EFL have to approve it. Either way nothing on the former or later. Ehab then takes the Confidentiality tack at the end of the interview. Hopefully everything is still on track, that the EFL fit and proper has been agreed and just awaiting the final agreement between the parties to be ok’d by them.
Just a view, I’m not ITK - if Acun had passed the F&P test, that news would have been leaked out to reassure the fans. No news to me, means it has stalled at this stage, for whatever reason - hopefully it’s just a long process rather than problems found. Does anyone know what the eligibility criteria is for the F&P test? Is this in the public domain
I swear we get this ****e on every transfer too when it takes longer than expected. There's zero indication from anyone that it's stalled, it's taken longer than we all hoped but that's life. We've got Baz saying it's literally days away and that it's extremely close. HT & ST have been saying the same too. If there's one thing I've learnt from the Allams is that deals seem to take an age to get done, transfers always seem to drag so it's no surprise that this has too
I too get the feeling it's either stalled or in real danger of stalling. He clearly said they were still trying to conclude the deal (and added EFL after that). I reckon Kesler flew in to try to finalise the deal itself, but still appears he hasn't managed to do so.
My take on this is quite different. Only a guess mind. Acun Ilicali has put others in positions of controlling the club on a daily basis. Each one of those may be considered as relevant persons. I suppose if any of them hold a position similar to a director they would need to have approval from the EFL.
He clearly said 'to conclude the DEAL'. It would appear that the deal is still not done .... and that, together with his tone, other comments and past history has now to be concerning.
None of it is a concern for me. I was cheered by what Ehab said. I thought it was quite relaxed and positive. Considering what a ****e day it must have been for those working at the club today.
I recall two Jags raising the scarf at Brighton and City fans raising two fingers, to a volley of 'You obese barstool'.
