A cover should never be polished
That's why Dylan does covers of his own songs

Lock the gates and fill the moats, the drippy ****s have finally realised what most of us already knew.

Don't let these thick, pompous twats pollute Britain.

Tired of life? No, just tired of London: record £55bn spent buying homes outside the capital

The number of homes bought by Londoners outside the capital increased by 62% compared with 2020 and is the equivalent of creating two new cities roughly the size of Leeds, according to estate agent Hamptons.

Alice Fry, a public relations consultant, and her husband Ed, a finance director, and their three-year-old and seven-month-old children, Willa and Cressida, joined the exodus, moving from a two-bedroom flat in South Kensington to a six-bedroom Georgian house in Arundel, West Sussex.

“After spending three months of the first lockdown at my parents’ house in Sussex, we realised that the way of life is just much better, especially for children,” she said. “So we shifted the house search out of London to the country, and then I found out I was pregnant again, and we were definitely moving out of London.

“We got a lot more for our money. We weren’t looking for acres and acres of land, but we have got a nice big garden and the countryside on our doorstep.”

But it's a good way for capital appreciation in London
I remember in the 70s, newly qualified accountants who were single were buying 5 bedroomed detached houses

Hull's match has just been postponed
about 20 cases of covid so I suppose it's better than putting out a weakened side

Was it meant to be a 3pm kickoff? A bit late in the day to be calling it off, especially for the travelling fans.

Very much a rule of thumb. I spent £200k ( 50k land 150k build) and got a house with lovely neighbours, two retired schoolteachers. I have just got in from drinking their Champagne. Added bonus is I don't know of a Brexiteer in the village.

Yep things were good under Labour back then, until it all went wrong under Thatcher.

When Thatcher took over, Britain was on its knees at the time.

1.5 million unemployed, after 3 years of Mrs Thatch it was nearly 4 million. Until the Tories changed how the figures were calculated.

I suppose she could have used the recent Labour trick of sending everybody to do tinpot degrees at tinpot universities to keep unemployment figures down that way.
