Having spent 10 years living in Birmingham with massive Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Jewish communities. I can confirm they do wish non-members of their religion Happy Diwali, Eid and Passover And it was great
Some of my best experiences working and living in the Middle East both Qatar and Jordan was the experience of Ramadan, Yes I tried to follow it as much as I could. They included everyone including me. I used to walk every evening about 8 miles. One particular evening a military Land Rover pulled up as prayer call started. They got all this food out from the back and called me over and insisted I ate with them. What an experience. This sort of thing happened so many times to me. I just embraced where I was and the people and culture, we could learn so much if we took the time. Thanks for being patient during my sharing of my experiences.
But being realistic, what's the chance of success? Supposedly the two Turkish giants want him so why come to us? Don't get me wrong, on paper he'd be the best striker we've ever had but we can't waste all January targeting unrealistic targets only to end up with ****
His record at a big club is better than anything we've ever had. He's a legitimate £20m striker & his international record is insane
Which big club does he have a good record at? All I can see is him scoring goals in Turkey which Cenk Tosun was able to do. 18 goals for Kosovo isn't terrible, but it's goals against countries like Georgia, Burkina Faso, San Marino and Lithuania. I'd settle down a little bit on the hyperbole. 1 goal for Lazio in half a season is a bit of a worry and of course it's miles above what we have now, but best striker we've ever had is a bit over the top.
Agreed. Unless I'm reading the wrong stats nothing to me suggests he will rip the championship a new one. I just hope our team is not flooded with foreign imports. It's lovely to see our local lads get a game. For me, it brings some pride to the City that these lads want to stay here. I know KLP and even Greaves might move on but for now there here and it's blooming great.
Personally the striker who got 11 in 29 for Uruguay, scoring against countries like Ukraine, Japan, and Colombia, with 31 goals in Italy before moving to us would be a bit above this bloke. As well as the striker who got 6 goals for Croatia and 16 in 59 for Everton in the PL before moving to us.
Before we think about buying strikers is the club sold yet. I haven't heard any cheering in the streets yet so I'm assuming it hasn't.
I’ll be very interested to see the value of some of the offers that’ll come in for KLP. I rate him higher than Bowen, and he went for up to £25m.
I can imagine. We’ll never know but in this age there is no way they would have scored as consistently and not of been taken by then first division clubs/premier now. I know Chilton went to Coventry at 29 but he was carrying a back injury.
