Well taking the stats for this season into account and also looking at each team on paper, there is ABSOLUTELY no contest.

And now you're complaining that we have no right to do so when you lose 6-1, at home, with a full strength squad, in comparison to 8-2, away, with a severely weakened team (Francis Coquelin started, currently he's behind Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Benayoun, Song, Diaby and Frimpong in the pecking order).
Yes but the season is still young and football isn't played on paper - on paper City would have won the league last season. If City are top come the end of the season then I will agree with you but until then I wouldn't say there is no contest as to who is the best. Saying that, hats of to City they were brilliant today
You lost 8-2, now please don't tell me that a team line up of Szczesny, Koscielny, Djourou, Jenkinson, Traore, Rosicky, Walcott, Ramsey, Arshavin, Coquelin, Van Persie is that weak to excuse a scoreline like that. Now I'm not offering any excuses for our poor performance today, City played very well and are going to be difficult to beat to the title (still a long way to go) but that was our first defeat of the season and so a bit of perspective is needed.

Did they really? Well United may as well just give up then... But wait! That's what sets United apart from the others... They never give up. They've been given a good hiding many a time, and guess what? Alot of those hidings came in the same season that United went on to win the Title. We'll know come may if City have proved themselves to be better than united, and not a second sooner!
And given that Utd have already proved they are better than Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs, and Spurs have already proved they are better than Liverpool, I guess everyone should just give up. Just give City the trophy already and we can all spend the next seven months watching some nice cricket and rugby...

im not here to wum. i think the 8-2 win for you was a bowing your head in the sand moment. But we have since picked our selfs up. As you will after loosing to citeh.
