Some inappropriate posts by one user. Sorry if that sounds mysterious, but it's hopefully dealt with, so best left alone.
Some **** posting posters real names, Peter, it’s alright as Simon sorted him out. Mind you Jules is fuming!
Not so difficult YT. A fair amount of these events are on the History thread to which he was a large participant in its early days plus before he came here he had a weekly quiz on Hull CityMad prior to the Saturday match. He also has many memories of his time going to Boothferry Park especially between 1946 and 1966. He lived away from Hull after 1960 but always came home for the festive season before leaving the UK in 1966. Must add that his overall memory is excellent for his age- especially long term memory.
Hi Chelsea, A certain individual was posting vile messages about me. DMD and Chazz have DM me to basically check up on me. This is very humbling and I feel special. I have decided to stay on the board and that is down to the support I have received from a lot on here. I know posters can fall out from time to time but you know what.. ..this board is mint and nobody should beef about that. I have been a bit of a Yorkshire pudding tonight but alls well that ends well.
Yes, you wouldn't get it as you haven't seen what was deleted. But it wasn't what TOM wrote, he is just having a bit of a joke. It is all best forgotten to be honest.Edited to say just seen the post 18 and legal put up whilst I'm was writing mine.
Both mine and my husband's real first names were revealed on here and the poster concerned has never posted again. Anyone remember?
We are all impatient. There was nothing set in stone to say the deal had to be completed before Christmas. Of course we all hoped it would be and I'm sure the two interested parties would have wanted it over the line by now. But because it isn't signed sealed and delivered yet doesn't mean it has fallen through. Everything takes a back seat the week before Christmas for a variety of reasons, and everything winds down anyhow. The time to announce ( hide) bad news is Christmas Eve, it is not the time to make an huge announcement like the one we are all waiting for.
I'm still of the opinion he wants to sweep clean and start with a complete set up DOF and new manager and the two names seemingly in the frame have not been confirmed.... but as has been revealed, there are things going on the background and when the new manager is agreed, then I think it will be also...
I lived in Saudi for a few years they did not celebrate Christmas it was referred to as a festive family day, you could buy fake Christmas tree and lights which flashed to carols everywhere
Hull City takeover in last-minute talks as new director of football cancels plans to fly in There are slim hopes a deal can be concluded today before Christmas The takeover of Championship club Hull City is a matter of days away from completion, though it’s now distinctly unlikely to be completed by the close of business on Christmas Eve. It had been hoped Acun Ilicali’s £30m deal to buy City from the Allam family would be done and dusted before December 25, but with just hours to go until Christmas, a source involved in the deal has revealed to Hull Live that while discussions between the two parties will continue, the chances of the final touches being done in time for the big day are remote at this stage. A key member of Ilicali’s team, Tan Kesler, has cancelled his plans and arrived back in England having cut short his trip home to Istanbul to work with Ehab Allam in a bid to get the green light for completion over the next few days. Kesler spent a week in England earlier this month taking in first team games against Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, along with a thrilling 4-3 win for the Under-23s against Peterborough United at York City’s LNER Stadium sandwiched in between. The process is ongoing and Hull Live understands Ilicali’s desire to conclude and become City’s owner is stronger than ever, with the media mogul determined to reward supporters for their unwavering support in recent weeks. Ilicali and his team are reluctant to commit to a time scale on when the club’s ownership will be complete, having previously seen their timescales come and go and are subsequently keen to avoid building fans’ hopes up unnecessarily. Since revealing his interest in the Tigers, Ilicali believes he has developed a unique bond with the club’s supporters and is keen to reassure them of his desire to fulfil a lifelong dream of owning a football club with City. One of the primary focuses of the incoming owners will be to strengthen during the January transfer window which opens on Saturday week, hence their desire to conclude as soon as possible. On the pitch, City return to action at home to in-form Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day, but will do so without their manager Grant McCann. McCann tested positive for coronavirus in the build-up to Sunday’s game, with the team being led by assistant boss Cliff Byrne. The Tigers will also be without at least two of their playing squad, who, like McCann, have been forced to isolate because of Covid with their squad being pushed to the limit following injuries to Alfie Jones, Lewie Coyle and Josh Emmanuel. Sunday’s clash with Rovers is the first of three Championship games over the festive period, with Sheffield United to come next midweek at Bramall Lane before they see in the New Year in Blackpool.
So that would appear to blow out of the water the ideas that it's being held up because a new manager isn't confirmed or because there's no gap in Acun's diary! (Meaning neither of those reasons would need TK to cancel his plans and fly here to try to get the takeover completed). So what the hell is the hold up?!! Edit: the worrying bit, and contrary to what's been said on here about it all being signed off ... " a source involved in the deal has revealed to Hull Live that while discussions between the two parties will continue, the chances of the final touches being done in time for the big day are remote at this stage."
