Roscoe looks a bit drained and devoid of confidence. He looks like he needs resting. Just hope Broadhead recovers quickly
Alves left out due to 'lack of discipline' This would suggest it's curtains for him here.. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...news/frederik-alves-left-out-arsenal-22535210
He must be a bit demoralised to be fair, came on loan to get some game time, and he hasn't really had any. If a premiership player can't get time in L1 it's got to be a pisser. If it's an attitude problem then adiós, I just wish we'd seen a bit more of him tbf, any bad feeling will maybe hinder us getting another loan from WHU
If Arby is on the comeback trail and Younger also knocking on the door, I’d rather Alvea we want back and we got another loan in where we need it.
Aye I thought it was. We attacked well and held our own and are pretty much down to the bare bones. We’re League One mate. Jingle all the way.
The 5000 who went down hadn't gone to watch the reserves. I'm sure the club want promotion but we're a football club committed to competing in various competitions. We can't simply deliberately lose every cup game just to achieve that goal.
Yep, I would have definitely started with the 1st team as we did! However in the 2nd half, as the game went beyond us I would have used all 5 subs. Not only to protect 1st team starter's from injury, but to give more players a chance to play at Arsenal...
Yes, totally agree. Players like Younger would benefit imo although you wouldn't want them to feel responsible for a heavy defeat. I'd guess there's a high degree of psychology involved in management.
Exactly this , no point whatsoever in bringing players on in added time , this clowns game management is a joke imo.
Another good reason for spreading the load across as many shoulders as possible, An all hands to the pumps strategy should strengthen not weaken team morale. We have seen a few players run into the ground in the past year or two at our cost and don't seem to be learning anything from it, its a worry.
According to the report! If it was his wedding night and he’s paying attention to the match regardless - I’m so proud of him ! Proper supporter !
100% correct. while it was a very slim chance there was always a chance of winning and then only one game away from a major cup final, i was pleased to see LJ respect the competition and the opposition and in the end we gave them a good game despite the end result...best part of our lads on the pitch will not have faced that kind of opposition and i dare say every one of them will be happy they got the chance.
My first wedding in 1998 we played Tranmere. Won 5-0. Wish I’d gone to the ****ing game instead of getting married!!! Second wedding was villa at home. Drew 1-1. Don’t regret missing it as it was apparently a poor game. And the marriage has been awesome too!! Just gone 14 years
I would go as far to say that this was the best 5-1 loss performance I’ve ever seen, if that makes any sense at all
