Normally can take him or leave him Arsenal we’re very good but thought we did ok I think his blinkered Arsenal bias tonight just annoyed me
Feels like if Broadhead stayed on and we'd had Cirkin for the 90 it would have been a lot closer. That's a big compliment to our lads who did play because Arsenal were very good. The margins were finer than I expected.
Thoroughly enjoyed that evening. Shame about the trouble in the crowd at the end. Anyone see what started it?
That's my worry too but I'm convinced the this will be recognized and that we will strengthen in January. We have a chance on the top two with a couple of good signings, so hopefully the board will recognize this and make sure the budget allows us to be sustainable including the revenue from promotion, and not just League One. I still think we were great tonight but to make sure of top two with Rotherham looking so strong, we really need three down the spine - CD, CM and CF.
Scored more goals than Newcastle did at Emirates and had more shots as well as shots on target. Similar possession as well. Maybe we're the enturtaynurs
As several have said... we already knew or guessed that our defence was shaky, last night that was ruthlessly highlighted. Over to you KLD and employees Going forward we created a few chances, but with Broadhead's hamstring going (yet again?). More support for Stewart is required.. Over to you KLD and employees
Great performance last night we attacked well and never gave up fighting for the ball, the result was always gonna happen with our decimated squad particularly in defence. The 5th goal was harsh and I don’t think we deserved it but take heart from the game and go all out for promotion now and bring reinforcements in when the window opens in January. HTL KTF
This window is an indicator of KLDs ambition for the club. We are in a tight race for top two, too tight to call so it is now down to KLD to make that call. Now is the time it's in his hands. Make the move or continue to languish in league one?
As others have said our defence has looked poor at league 1 level so it was always going to be the weak link last night. Was good to see them playing football.
I saw an old fella get struck by a flying water bottle just in front of me. Not sure what started that but no need when you win 5-1. There were a few items returned in the opposite direction too.
Could never imagine getting beat 5-1 and still have a smile on my face, was really proud of our lads last night and the way we set about the game. No 'parking the bus', we showed some real class in attack with some superb moves, including our goal, probably the best of the night. Only big downside for me is the injury to Broadhead, messed up our game plan and could mess up our attacking chances over the next few games, would still have played him anyway. We all know our defence leaves a lot to be desired, injuries have played their part in that, but as has been mentioned, they had some real class (and expensive) players carving through us last night. Still smiling, loved it!
Denver Hume, hoped to get a big money transfer last summer. Unfortunately last night his shortcomings were harshly exposed.... my guess is that his chances of getting a move up the divisions have taken a severe knock. I like the lad a lot and yes he was barely back playing after a GBH tackle... he has always been good going forward... but last night against the £72m man with a point to prove he learnt where he has to improve.
There certainly were. One of their more senior stewards apologised to us on our way out for the behaviour of their fans. I met up with all couple of Arsenal supporting mates afterwards and they didn't believe me at all. I think it was probably a case of cheap tickets and a different crowd to usual who decided to play silly buggers. Funny that they had to wait until the end before they actually did anything, because they were quiet as **** for the majority of the match.
Seemed like some minor bother outside the ground too. First away match I've taken the bairn to where I made him take his shirt off outside the ground. Probably being over cautious, but there was certainly a bit of unnecessary needle.
