I tend to reflect on his comments when he was running to be president of the students union at Oxford:

I don't think he has changed.

I can’t remember the last time I liked a UK prime minister, I don’t know if I’ve actually ever liked any of them.

As for dishonesty and PMs there are two kinds, get caught or don’t get caught.

Liked is probably the wrong word, respected may be better.

Jeez you've opened a can of worms there Eric.

Maybe it's a sign of the times we've lived through that no one since Thatcher has shown the gravitas to be worthy of respect.

Happy to be corrected if others feel differently.

Blair? Admittedly not popular with people who generally despise foreigners but have a fondness for Iraq.

Looking at the PM's in the UK since 1945, I must admit there aren't many that the word "respect" attaches itself to easily.

Got to say, I kind of like how Boris doesn’t give a f**k about most stuff and goes about doing things his way. It borders respect in that manner. He doesn’t give a **** who dislikes him and many under estimate him because he does come over as a bit eccentric. He creates enemies because he goes full steam ahead with what he believes in.

Whether anyone agrees with Brexit or not, his pledge was to get it done and he did, if we’d have went with Teresa May we’d have had one leg out and another leg & arm in so he delivered, it’s unfair judging him on doing a bad job on that, he got the best we were going to ever get, he delivered what the public voted for.

In regards to Covid I personally don’t buy into the should have locked down sooner, this new variant shows it makes no difference. With the pandemic it’s all hindsight, none of us knew what was right or wrong so I judge him on Furlough, Grants and Vaccines. Excellent job, nobody would have done it better.

There are question marks over care homes and acquiring PPE but again, pandemic and the entire world trying to acquire PPE and where does the blame truly sit with care homes? Is it easy to just blame Boris when care homes rake in millions, they have managers, they have decision makers.

I delivered to care homes through the pandemic, three weeks before any kind of lock down a care home in Brighton were not permitting anyone in, no visitors, everything left at reception, a guy wiping everything down, a room prepared for staff to remain on site, no leaving. I also delivered to many who started off taking it all with a pinch of salt, no masks, not a care who was coming and going.

Again I really don’t care that he stuck up for Cummings, it backfired but he tried to remain loyal, I don’t care about flat decorating or cheese and biscuits in his garden. Those moaning will be the same ones happy to walk around Tesco not leaving 2m and waving an I’m exempt from wearing a face mask app on their phone.

I personally feel the press are showing extreme desperation in trying to pin **** to him, it’s bordering embarrassing from the press when Boris is addressing the public, he invites questions and one after another they ask him about eating cheese and biscuits in his garden on a working lunch.

Clearly she was despised by a vast swathe of the population during her tenure, but she had the balls that most men in her party didn't have when they decided to oust her.....in fact she had more balls than a lot of the population now....fact

Its fair game for him to be asked questions like that and there are lots of things his government could have done better on Covid - he's meant to be the leader of the country and to set 'the tone at the top'. If you are found to have been lying or obfuscating or are hypocritical in that position then everything you do will be questioned. He has now lost any moral authority (ditto Hancock which is why he had to go) on Covid and wider issues through his actions and those of his team. The current pathetic responses to the questions being asked ("it was work with some cheese and wine") show that they're not even trying now, basically telling the public to **** off.

Fair game to ask him which they did and he said working lunch. The next day they repeat the question they get the same answer, it was exactly the same during the daily briefings, like robots each journalist asked the same question. Do you think Boris is going to turn around the following day and say "actually I lied, we were having a garden party? The pictures were released, the question was asked and the answer given.

You can either believe it was true or believe he is lying, you can be offended or not offended. I honestly don't give two ****s, I think it probably was lunch with something to eat at a bit of a get together afterwards. Have you always maintained a 2m distance, wore a mask where you should, not mixed in families when you shouldn't? I do not know a single person who 100% followed last years guidelines to the letter.

There are lots of things he could have done better with covid using hindsight. You feel he hasn't done enough, OLOF believes there should have been no lockdowns and he over reacted

There were plenty of things he did, or mostly didn’t do, that he was being called out for without hindsight that were blatantly obviously needed when Plan A of ignoring it and hoping for the best wasn’t going well.

If he did do more the lunatics on the left would have said he is trying to run the country like a dictator.

Yeah if he’d done exactly what “the left” were begging him to do while he did **** all they’d have been in uproar at all the avoided deaths.
