Well pretty much all of it, but the main part that he won a contract to produce ppe. Just like many he didn’t even get a reply for his bid for that.

Hancock is being slippery and disingenuous on this.
The contract was for vials for test kits - so H can genuinely say he 'didn't give out a contract for PPE'.
Hs mate who used to own his local pub (Alex Bourne, who owned a plastics company) became a subcontractor to a supplier already on the NHS suppliers list (Alpha Laboratories).
H is saying he wasn't involved in his mate getting the contract and he's using a technicality to say the NHS didn't give him a contract because it was a subcontract and that the NHS and DofH don't get involved in subcontracts.
But....the contract, signed by a DofH civil servant, specifically directed that the contract should go to Hinpack (his mates company). Multiple FoI requests found the contacts between them and the contract.
Hs mate had sent him a WhatApp message (so no following of procurement rules, in fact of the c.40 businesses who were fast tracked to get PPE and related contracts about 18 were via personal contacts in the Tory party).

Not at all, I think Hancock is a big a c**t as anyone, just don't take the woke lefties and main stream media lies at face value.

Go away or shut up....your choice Windy

The bastions of free speech have spoken and put you in quite a quandary I'd imagine. Never let it be said you were cancelled though as that really boils their piss apparently.

Some non-gammon, left wing millennial input is what this place desperately needs so it would be a shame if I were to go.

In case anyone doesn't know, the details of the Hancock story above came out via FoI requests put in by The Good Law Project. The formal responses to FoI requests put in to government departments absolutely have to be correct otherwise the relevant Minister can be accused of misleading the house. On that basis (and the fact that it took multiple FoI requests and the Information Commissioner telling DofH to cough up), we know that the source of the info is impeccable.

Ah the good law project, they had to move onto something else after trying to block brexit for so long and failing.

    No not time yet…

His Furlough scheme and self employed grants got my family through a tricky time, in regards to acting quick enough and handling covid it’s all great with hindsight. He was the quickest in regards to rolling out vaccines, he exited Europe and played hard ball compared to many others.

I don’t give a toss about decorating his apartment, I don’t care about gatherings in his garden or staff parties I really don’t, was it wrong yes, do I care no.

What are the genuine alternatives, whoever he is replaced with Labour will squeal on and on about having a non elected prime minister, we’ll have another election, we’ll end up with a coalition SNP and Labour (as the red tops have changed everyone into 60 day Boris haters), the country will stagnate, we’ll have a Scottish referendum…..

Boris needs to ride this out, nobody will give a toss about parties and gatherings at number 10 in 6 months time, we can’t let Starmer run the country like Sturgeons puppet.

Never liked the guy and I never will but if his policies worked for you. Personally I would find his lack of integrity and dishonesty a problem if I was able to vote in the UK election.
