I Know a win is a win and im delighted with the 3Pts, but the only feeling that i have now is RELIEF. The result is magic but that performance was nothing short of shocking. We cant score against 9 men !!!. They totally out played us in the second half and could have had 2 or 3 late goals. We were hanging on for dear life in the end. Why did we not go with 2 strickers upfront for the whole seond half, to push them back. Our midfield was embarassing and has absolutely no creativity.I know it can be hard to play a team with 9-10 men, BUT!!! You saw what city did to Utd with 10 men yet we could not even hold onto the ball against 9 men. Shocking. Thats 12 Pts now. Only 28 more to go.
Who gives a 5hit how we played. 3 points in the bag. yeeeeeeeeooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Against chelsea.........even better. If i was offered this before the game i'd have bitten your arm off. At the end of a long season, it doesn't matter how the points were gained.......as long as we get 17th place. Enjoy the occasion my friend. Don't ruin possibly a once in a lifetime experience with negativity.
a bit harsh that mate, we could have kept the ball better, but look at the quality of the 9 they had on the pitch.
The difference is the quality of the players, they kept possession much better than us and we didn't make any tactical changes so we were letting them come on to us. We got the result which is more than we could have hoped for at the start.
Turbo, as i said great great result. I'm now going out to have a feed of beer on the strength of it. Delighted with result, just such a bad performance. I know youre right mate, the 3Pts is all that counts.
I thought our second half tactics were disappointing we just needed to hold the ball and pass simple. But this is not a day to criticize our team. Our supporters were magnificent!!!!!
Ok, so we could have played a lot better in the second half. But who thought we'd have got 3 points from the 3 fixtures starting with today's game. I don't care if we win pretty or ugly this season, we need all the points we can get!
I was firmly in the camp of those who replied to another thread here that saying that 1point in the next 3 matches was their expectation - I am pleased to be proved wrong. Reading the match online, with that 2 minute delay was excruciating, especially with 5 minutes oa added time.
1-0 to the referee totally one sided in that game Chelsea should have had 3 penalties referee gave nothing just giving cards out everywhere chris foy should be chucked out of the referee business as he is rubbish. you would not have won if they had all there player on. drogba was a sending off but boswinger was not. but i can say you still played rubbish against 9 men

That was the longest hour in the last 15 years. Drogba getting sent off changed the whole psychology of the game, we went from underdogs to favourites and couldn't handle it. The stage was set for Chelsea heroics and total humiliation for us, in the end it was Lampards boot that saved us, he deflected Luiz's overhead away from goal. Cheers frank!
u only won because rubbish referee. how much did your new owner pay the referee. it looked like the biggest match fix in the world

We picked up a point away at liverpool against 11 men, you scraped the barrel to earn a 1-0 win at home against a team with 9 players and the ref played a part in you getting that win. Bosingwa should have only been a yellow and chelsea should have had a blatent penalty! BUT you can only beat whats infront of you and well done on doing that! There are certainly 3 worse sides in this league other than us, yourselves and swansea so heres to hoping we all stay up OTBC
