And maybe I am missing another point, but if it was a business meeting why are they drinking alcohol?

In my contract it is written that I cannot consume alcohol during working hours (strange how they enforce it as I am a homeworker :) ) but do we really want our leaders deciding what to do over alcohol? Even one glass impairs your judgement etc so why is it ok for the leader of the country to do that?

Yes but some of the people in the photo are wearing suits so it’s all totally fine.

Exactly, as the rest of the country have to do business meetings in their PJs over Zoom, they get to wear nice suits. How unfair. :bandit:

I just can't see how they can enforce any more restrictions on the public and expect them to comply. And TBH, I'm not sure any more restrictions will pass in parliament, only a matter of time before too many Tory backbenchers rebel and vote against the government. And then it will be bye bye Boris.

The only way the last lot went through was because Labour voted for them. It’s a crazy situation at the moment, essentially Starmer is keeping Johnson in a job.

I was prepared to give the government the benefit of the doubt for various mistakes they have made during the pandemic, but blatantly flouting their own rules (and the law) and then treating everyone like morons trying to defend their actions is the last straw. They won't even ****ing apologise.

I've done my bit by getting all 3 jabs. I will not ruin my Christmas for these arseholes. I wish we were due a general election in 2022 because it would be hilarious to see the Tory party collapse.

Is this part of the broader picture?
I said last week that I don’t want Johnson replaced too soon as it gives the Tory party a good 2 years to rewrite history and get those voters who now hate Johnson to vote for someone who supported and lied to protect Johnson.
Maybe Starmer is thinking along the same lines?

Unintended consequences are not always bad. Starmer is making the right call ethically in supporting measures that will save lives. Keeping Spaffer in power for a little bit longer will just lead to further Tory turmoil. Win win..

So Boris needs a new propaganda minister. Why don’t they cut out the middle man this time and just but a Tory MP in this role ?
