I know no one reads anything over here, but I thought I'd post this all the same.

Scotland are playing Northern Ireland tonight, in some Mickey Mouse competition.

How do you think they'll do?

I won't be watching it myself, as I've promised myself a ****ing marathon watching Monday Night Raw (WWE to the uneducated.)

I predict a turgid 1-1 draw this evening.

Will you be using some sort of lube such as baby oil or olive oil to keep the wolf from the door during your ****ing marathon? Alternatively, you could imagine Scott Brown naked to delay that 'jester's toes' moment.

Scotland played decent last night. Northern Ireland offered nothing to the game though and it was 3-0 going on 10-0. That was nothing more than a training exercise for Scotland really and you could see that in the last half-hour especially when they lowered the tempo

Thought that Bardsley, Hutton, Commons and Naismith played excellent. The proper use of width was nice to see from Scotland for a change. It was also nice to see us control possession so well, even against the Faroes at Pittodrie I thought that we surrendered the ball to easy at times.

Hutton in particular impressed me though last night. Willing to run the line for the entire 90 minutes in what was essentially a friendly. Great to see Levein getting that kind of commitment from players.

One thing that did annoy me though was the constant excuses of the commentators that NI had a lot of players missing and Scotland were "full strength"

Scotland had: D.Fletcher, Gordon, McFadden, Brown, Dorrans and Whittaker all missing. Half a team that could easily have started that game. I think some credit is due to the depth we're developing just now.

It wasn't an excuse that NI had a lot of players missing though. We had 8 certain starters missing, and when you're a country as small as NI and with as limited resources as NI, you can't afford to lose that number of players. We have absolutely nobody in reserve.

Maik Taylor - our only keeper until we get Lee Camp cleared

Aaron Hughes, Jonny Evans, Craig Cathcart, Chris Brunt - 4 Premiership players; all but Evans play regularly for their teams. We also rely on Lafferty as a big man up front, he's a bit of a goat but we've got nobody else and is an important part of our team. Healy can't play as a loan striker. McCartney retired and we were missing Clingan as well, who is an underrated player imo.

Anyway this shouldn't take away from the fact that Scotland were impressive and you're certainly a team on the up by the looks of it. I just wish we'd been able to make a game of this instead of the muck that we served up. Suppose it's a ****e tournament anyway. Good luck - I hope you win the thing.
