It reads as though if you return to work within 28 days, you need a sick note, so many people will just stay off for the month. That's going to hit employers and service provision hard.

Before you make too many plans, apparently it's only until the end of January.

Was in the pub and didn't catch all of the story but a group of lads go in most nights after work. Apparently one had been telling them earlier in the year that only sheeple (using that phrase is a giveaway of the type) taken in by big pharma and governments were having the jab. It was all a plan to control us etc...He would laugh as he thought of them all as he went away at Christmas. He has just tested positive for covid. Of sympathy there appeared to be very little.<laugh>

The problem we have, not just on here, or this country, but everywhere, is people believing everything the media puts out.
First they say one thing, then another, contradictory, from one source to another.
This is on top of poor information given out by the people who are supposed to be experts, because, they are guessing in most cases, as all this is new to them.
This in turn leads to the constant arguments in the general public, because one person read this, the other person heard that, message boards, social media, all up in arms!
FFS, less than 24 hours after this Omicron was discovered, the Daily Mail headline was something like, “deadliest variant,” despite the story saying SA scientists saying it’s mild, but more easily transmitted.
I read 3 things online, from different papers in those , here’s todays headlines, bits.
    1. Omicron mild
    2. Phizer says their vaccine works against new variant.
    3. Scientists say new variant reduces Phizer vaccine by almost 50%.
This was after the Mail headline.
So there is no wonder why people are arguing with each other constantly.
Covid should be in the same rules as no politics & no religion, when talking with friends!

So, you aren't watching City although there isn't any PL games to watch instead? I am watching City. Good away following today.

Move to a civilised country? Even with a decent Internet connection it is not always so straightforward.
