Obviously that is a euphemism: It smells like Wells-next-the-Sea harbour when you go down on the wife. <laugh>

Reading the Telegraph yesterday and it seemed virtually every columnist was writing about the same thing: Is the North Shropshire defeat the end for Boris?

Whilst much of it concentrated on why a true-blue Tory seat had gone orange (with The Donald not in sight) citing such reasons as lack of conservatism, pending tax rises, Christmas party sleaze and Peppa Pig, nobody actually bothered to look beyond the winner and the runner-up.

The winner deluded herself that this was anything but a protest vote, stating “Boris Johnson, the party is over”. At the next election, her party will be over as she only came third in 2019.

If this was not just a protest vote then what happened to the official Opposition candidate? Conservative voters gave a vote of no confidence in Boris but nobody deserted to Labour. The Tory candidate polled 23,412 fewer votes, the Lib Dem polled 12,314 more votes and Labour polled 8,809 fewer votes. Total turnout was down 32 per cent. It seems a lot of Labour votes either went Lib Dem or None Of The Above because they know that Labour cannot win. Can Starmer even find North Shropshire on the map?

I mentioned earlier, Ben Wood the Labour candidate is probably now realising that he was picked, because Labour felt he had no chance, and they didn't want to take votes from the Lib Dems as that would increase the chance of a tory win. He must be looking at the other options Labour had, and thinking 'they see me as being worse than them'. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Okay, who knew?

    Taking sick leave
Employees can take time off work if they’re ill. They need to give their employer proof if they’re ill for more than 28 days.

You should go up there and jolly well tell them all what to do, make sure they get everything right, so there's no covid diseases ever again.

I see Chris Turnbull has been up to his old tricks again. The former MP for Rutland South was caught selling stolen cuttlefish at a boot sale in Oakham last Saturday. Turnbull, 45, was already on the law's radar after pleading guilty to smuggling budgie eggs into Britain in 2018.
